With regard to Sarah Boone, daughter of Israel Boone, does anyone on the List know whom she married and when or where she died? I am looking for a Sarah Boone who supposedly married my gggg grandfather Timothy Logan, and wonder if "this" Sarah Boone could be a candidate. Thanks in advance! David douglas scott <douglees62@hotmail.com> wrote: Israel Boone ,brother of Daniel, died June 25 ,1756 at the age of 30 . Buried near Mocksville NC. he died of consumption ,his wife died earlier of the same. There is no record of her name ,probably because they "married out" of the Quakers and no records kept. Israel had 4 children Jesse, b. 1748 Jonathon ,b.21 nov 1750 Elizabeth, b. 28 nov 1752-53 Sarah(Sallie),b. 1754 There is evidence that Jesse was raised by Daniel and Rebecka and Jonathon may have been too. In "Doctor Hodges book" "Jesse Boone was a son of Israel, brother of Col. Daniel Boone" From notes left by Daniel's son Nathan and wife"Jesse was mainly raised by daniel Boone and wife." Daniel had married only 2 months after his brother Israel died and Jesse's granddaughter,Mrs Sarah Henderson said"His parents dying when Jesse was young,he lived in Daniel Boone's home" Could the "John Boone " in your family be Jonathon Jesse"s brother?
