Zachariah B ALLEN b 1754 in VA d 1825 Milton, Pike Co, IL. The Zachariah ALLEN's arrived in Pike Co in 1822, he was a soldier of the Revolutionary War and of the Indian wars of George Washington's time. He served for seven years in the War of Independence and was in his old age when he came to pike Co, IL in 1822. This from "Pike County History," p 92 author Jess M THOMPSON. They had four children: Sally Boone ALLEN b abt 1781 in Warren Co, KY d 1846 Milton, pike Co, IL m abt 1814 Clark Co, KY Elijah GARRISON b abt 1779 Clark Co, KY d Milton, Pike Co, IL. This couple had four children b in Posey Co, IN and they all d in Milton, Pike Co, IL. I do have more information on this line. Jonathan Boone ALLEN b 19 Aug 1782 Blue Lick, Warren Co, KY d in Montezuma Twp, Pike Co, IL m abt 1802 in KY to Caroline whose maiden name is unk. She d 13 Feb 1826 in Pike Co, IL. Notes in Pike Co Hist, p105 say that Jonathan Allen was born on the last day of the Revolution just as his father and numerous kinsman fought the battle. Jonathan was 50 years old when he enlisted as a private from Pike Co, IL in the Black Hawk war of 1832. He was in Capt Benjamin Barney's Company, of which his brother Lewis ALLEN was a second Lt. Lewis Boone ALLEN b 11 Nov 1794 "Banks of the Green" Warren Co, KY d 8 Aug 1872 Milton, Pike Co, IL. I have an alt Whitesville, Alton Co, MO. He m1 Chloe VAN BIBBER bef 1818 in Warren Co, KY. She was b abt 1794 in Warren Co, KY the dau of Peter VAN BIBBER. There were no children from this marriage. Lewis B ALLEN m2 Deborah MOORE 24 Feb 1818 Spencer, Owen Co, IN. She was b 24 Dec 1801 in Spencer, Owen Co, IN d 16 April 1826 Milton, Pike Co, IL. They had four children, the last born living 4 days d 2 April 1826 in Spencer, Owen Co, IN. They must have moved soon to IL as Lewis Boone ALLEN was one of the judges of election of Franklin Twp, Pike Co, IL. (This twp the present sites of Pittsfield - County seat; and Rock Island and Galena) The election year of the precint was 1824. Pike Co Hist p23. Lewis Boone ALLEN m3 Chloe CASEBIER in 1827 in Soctt Co, IL the dau of David CASEBIER and Elizabeth Chenoweth. She was b 14 Feb 1805 in Muhlenberg Co, KY d 30 Dec 1869 in Whit! esville, Andrew Co, MO. They had 8 children and I have info on them. I do have some questions about the marriages of Lewis Boone ALLEN, especially m1 to Chloe VAN BIBBER. My personal belief is that this is incorrect and that there maybe confusion since he m3 to Chloe CASEBIER. I was in Pike Co, IL at Pittsfield in June 2000 and made every attempt to find documentation in regard to Chloe VAN BIBBER. I also attempted to locate the cem in which this family was buried but was unable to find it. The fourth and last child for Dinah BOONE and Zachariah Boone ALLEN is Polly Boone ALLEN b 1805 "Banks of the Green" Warren Co, KY d 1882 in Milton, Pike Co, IL. She married Larkin THORNTON b 1800 in Warren Co, KY d 21 Dec 1878 in Milton. He was the son of Aaron THORNTON and Sarah EVANS. THey had 5 children and I also have more information on them. Dorthy MACK
