My grandfather was C. Daniel Boone of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, born in Hagerstown Maryland 1890 . "Boone's Potato Chips" were a also made there. My grandfather migrated to Harrisburg and ran the Daniel Boone Trading Post on Route 22 in Harrisburg for many years through WW2 and the 50's. He had past down this 1804 Harper's Ferry rifle flintlockfrom his father , that is now in my possession, that was reportedly Daniel Boone's last that he owned when he died in Missouri. A large faction of Boone relatives live in Osage Iowa nearby, and remain in Maryland.
