MD + Rebecca Burle [NOTES on Humphrey Boone: "Boone's Adventure" was surveyed May 10,1672, 160 acres on the north bank of Rock Creek in the South Patapsco Hundred of Baltimore Co. Humphrey Boone held this as late as 1700 when he paid quit rent to Lord Baltimore. Humphrey Boone in 1692 was commissioned a Captain of the Foot in Anne Arundel Co. Records show that on March 25, 1693 Capt. Boone gave Co. Nicholas Greenbury, Commander of the Militia of A.A. Co. a receipt for 26 muskets which belonged to the public magazines of A.A. Co. For other acts of public service he received 100 lbs of tobacco in 1681, and at another time received 70 lbs of tobacco. He was named overseer of the estate of James Orrouck of Baltimore Co. in 1790.
