Rude, 74, of Boonville died Friday morning, May 2, 1997, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. She was born September 15, 1922, in Reform, the daughter of Paul Klein and Emily Boone Gilman. Mrs. Rude moved to Boonville nine years ago fmm Brookfield. She was a homemaker. She mamed G. Carl Rude on February 26, 1944, in Fayette. Mrs. Rude was a member of the Nelson Memoial United Methodist Church in Boonville. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, G. Carl Rude of the home. Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jim and Carla S. Coats of Kansas City; her sister Pauline Holzhauser of Columbia; her two granddaughters, Andrea and Alison Coats of Kansas City and her niece Janis Shannon of Columbia. Mrs. Rude was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at 2 p.m. at the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Boonville, with the Rev. Rusty Maggard officiating. Burial will be in Rocheport Cemetery in Rocheport. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Markland Funeral Home in New Franklin.
