And the Wilderness Road is our main street now here in London, KY. History of it is: The buffaloes had a path about 5 feet wide that came across Cumberland Gap and traveled on into KY. The Indians used this path and it was called the Warriors Path. Then Daniel Boone used it to come into KY and it was called Boones Trace. They made it wider to bring wagons through and called it the Wilderness Trail. THEN they named roads and it is 229 and US 25.
