Hello Group, I'm still trying to get to first base with my BOON genealogy, and have yet to make any significant toe hold into the mountain i'm trying to climb. My great grandfather John Orpheus Boon, who I believe was born in Nebraska in 1880 , and disappeared in BigHaylakes Alberta in the mid- twenties, presumed dead, left no real record I have found as of yet to his beginnings, or his ending for that matter. . The census of 1880 of Nebraska does have a family there with a child of less than one year old listed by the name of John, with parents listed as John R. Boon, born in 1840 in PA, and Hanna, wife, born in 1842 in New Jersey. This lineage is the only line i've been able to connect as a possibility in the area from which our family located from . I would like to somehow converse with other genealogists that may have connections to these BOON family members from Nebraska at that time and see if this lineage is truely a possibility.
