    3. Mary Louise, I have seen the name Boon spelled both ways in my husband's family. My husband is related to George Boone, Joseph Boone, Squire Boone's brother. Yet when I found his great-grandmothers maiden name I have seen it Boon and Boone. So it goes to show you have to look at Boone and Boon in order to figure out how to spell it to locate your Boone family. I have had to look at other spellings on other family surnames.
