    3. It is possible that the Nancy BOONE granted a letter of dismission Feb 1805 is Nancy Ann LINVILLE b 1744 d 28 March 1814 spouse of George BOONE.b 1739 . They had a son John b 1769 who in 1818 went to Callaway Co, MO. He maybe the John BOONE who in 1816 "joined by experience." 3. Dorothy Thanks for your excellent suggestions. I think you are right, but it still leaves a couple of questions about Nancy. Why would Nancy (Ann) BOONE (George's wife) join the church so late (1802) since her husband was an initial members of the church in 1786? This is especially confusing when you consider, according to Reflections in the Wind, that George BOONE was one of the church's ministers. The Boones may have left the church because of troubles with it or they left the area for a period (before moving to Shelby County) because George was "restored to fellowship" on June 1, 1798. Though Nancy left the church in 1805, it seems that George continued (?) to be a member until 1810. In January 1810, George BOONE (know as "Bro.") was acquitted by the church for bringing a "suit against Bro. TABLOT and Brethren Josiah PHELPS" and granted a letter of dismission. This may be the time that George and Nancy moved to Shelby Co because according to Spraker, George and "Anna" or "Ann" were living in Shelby in 1811. More pieces for the George BOONE (1739-1820) puzzle. The Squire BOONE mentioned in Reflections on July 1, 1799, as a committee clerk for the church could be Daniel BOONE's brother who when to Missouri with Daniel in September 1799. Well, at least the timing is right. But, according to W. Fred Conway in The Incredible Adventures of Daniel Boone's Kid Brother - Squire, Squire lived in Shelby from 1795-1799 before joining Daniel's Missouri move. Maybe Squire was visiting George before leaving with Daniel, and since he (Squire) was once a Baptist minister, the church might have asked him to serve on the committee??????? Just throwing ideas around. I wish the Boone's had been a little less family traditionalists and more creative in naming their children - just look at the designer names given to many of our football players! Ha!
