Ref: "Some Boone descendants and Kindred of the St. Charles District." by Lillian Hays Oliver, Burlington, Vermont, 1964, reprinted 1984, PAGE 55 This is verbatim: "In the Jan. 1960 issue of the BOONE SCOUT, publication of the Boone Family Association of Seattle, Wash., appeared the following: "In 1865, a prairie schooner lurched toward California with Wellington T. Boone guiding the oxen. Within it rode Elizabeth (Carter) Boone and a young son, Stonewall Jackson, born in Mexico, Missouri, September 5th, 1863. The story of this boy as he grew to manhood on the Pacific coast is a valued contribution to the Center from Mrs. James K. Allen of Modesto, California."" There's no further reference to Stonewall Jackson Boone in the book. It sounds like more might be found looking for him in some of the histories written about the western states. I have a complete set of the BOONE SCOUT, the Association's newsletter...... will try to see if they might have printed anything more at a later date. Probably will take some time to do it..... their newsletters are NOT INDEXED ...means reading several years worth. In the meantime, Happy Hunting! He sounds like another interesting person with the Boone surname. If you find anything, please share. Barbara Gill, Director The Boone Society
