    3. According to "Fair Were Their Dreams," by Mary Cole FARROW LONG published in 1990 Anne (Anna, Ann) AXTELL>David AXTELL, Landgrave and Diane Rebecca AXTELL (Maiden name unk) married Joseph BOONE, 1V a Colonial Agent in SC the son of Thomas BOONE, 111 b bef 16 Sept 1638 in Taunton, Somerset, ENG (bapt date) who married Sarah FINCH b abt 1645. Ann AXTELL and Joseph BOONE, 1V had one son, a Capt Thomas BOONE, V b abt 1700 at Mount Boone, near Summerville, SC (their only son) who d 10 Mar 1733 in SC perhaps at Pon Pon the plantation given to him by his father. Thomas BOONE, 111 of Taunton was the son of John BOONE, 11 and Mary AUDRIE. I have no doubt that the info by Mary Cole FARROW LONG is correct. I have had many conversations with her and she has researched and documented her information. Information on Ratcliffe BOONE (BOON) b 1715 d aft 10 July 1787 Boon Hill, Surry Co, NC, his will dated 10 July 1787 m Ruth and to date her maiden name is still unk, according to any info that I received regard this BOONE line. Ruth was still living in 1787. This Joseph BOONE and Ruth had ten children, one of whom is Joseph H BOONE b 1736 in Northampton Co, NC and d 1808 in Thompson's Creek, West Feliciana Parish, LA m Patience TOLER in 1784 at Wayne Creek, NC and their son Joseph H BOONE, 11 b 1789 d 1869 in Dallas CO, AL the sp of Jane Lewis MERIWETHER b 1783 in GA d 1842. "Nicholas BOON of Isle of Wight Co VA - Seven Generations" by Richard R DIETZ details this family line. I do have his book and will be more than happy to discuss this with those interested. I also have the book "Fair Were Their Dreams" By Mary Cole FARROW LONG. Dorthy MACK

    3. Someone in our large knowledgeable group must know when it is proper to show maiden names. Just a few years back, my Idaho drivers license number was my social security number. It was used as a form of identification. Now that is a no-no. I have found in sending for certified copies of birth certificates that states differ in the amount of time that has passed in order to get a copy. Some in Idaho demand that you show proof of relationship. Sometimes, non-certified copies are available. As a Medicare person, I carry with me at all times my Medicare card. I should. Who knows when I may be stricken. So, since I am elderly, at least a quarter of the doctor's offices in my town have my social security number. Even the drop in clinics. We all hope each of those people are honest, but who knows how many hands it goes through before I am billed. Most of those people now farm out their billing to other companies. So, I don't worry about it too much. Just about everyone in Idaho....banks, too, have my number and if someone cares to do the identity theft thing, they don't have to be an Einstein. Doris Phelps

    2. I want to thank everyone who has graciously shared their lines to the list. There are some who have included dates which really assists me in keeping everything straight. I lost some data and this has been so helpful for me. I don't wish to have anyone stop their wonderful work, but do have a suggestion. Because of the rapid amount of idenity thief, mother's maiden names should be excluded. I'm not that informed on how this is done, but this is one of the reasons the federal government wants to place a limit on how much information can be accessed. I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and the brick walls come down. Good Hunting to ALL. Patti

    3. Give me a break! How are we to find connections to other families if the maiden names are omitted from our ancestral lines. Some individuals stopped at their grandparents while others carried the lines to themselves. If one doesn't include a maiden name then we would not know how two generations connect, such as George I George II George III Squire Daniel Jemina Tabitha Lorena Gee, I wonder who the father of Tabitha is or did Jemina have her out of wedlock? I have a high respect for those researching their families and would bet all I have that these individuals are not going to do something to hurt others such as use of identity theft. To suggest that we omit the maiden names makes these genealogical mail lists useless. And by the way, my maiden name is part of my email address and I'm sure that there are many others who use their maiden or married names in their address too. 3. Patti, Mother's maiden names are fine just not current maiden names. Without these maiden names no one would find anything on the other line. My Boone is a female. Her name is Sarah Boone and she died many years ago. My Sarah Boone was born 28 Oct 1850 Meigs Twp, Adams, OH and died 6 May 1921 in Rarden, Scioto, Ohio. She is buried at Mt Joy Cemetery, Rarden, Scioto, Ohio. She married George Martin Ramsey. Sarah Boone's parents were Jacob Boone and Margaret Blythe. Jacob Boone was born 25 Nov 1824 in Adams Co, OH and died on 18 Dec 1902 in Adams County, Ohio. He is buried at Boone Family Cemetery, Ginger Ridge Rd, Adams Co, Ohio. Jacob Boone's parents are John Boone born 1795 in Adams Co., Ohio died 22 Dec 1843 in Bradysville, Adams County, Ohio and Margaret "Peggy" Cooper Jacob Boone born 15 Aug 1754 Essex, Berks Co., Pa died 4 May 1827 Maysville, Mason Co, Ky buried at Pioneer Cemetery, Maysville, Mason County, Ky married Mary DeHart Joseph Boone Jr born 30 Apr 1730 Pa died 1829 Pa buried at Friends Burying Ground, Exeter County, Pa married Elizabeth Warren. Elizabeth was with Child before the marriage. Joseph Boone Jr and Elizabeth Warren eventually got married but not before having to apologized to the Quaker Congregation. Must of been the scandal of the day. Joseph Boone Sr. born 5 Apr 1704 Dev. England died 30 Jan 1776 Exeter, Berks Co, Pa buried Friends Burying Ground, Exeter Ground, Pa married Catherine Brown. So you see Pattee if I did not have maiden names I would not be able to go back to this far. 2. Everyone else is posting their Boone lines, and while I can't find the connection between anyone else's trees and mine, I thought I'd post what I have. Maybe someone out there can make a connection. I hope the formatting on this chart comes through okay. But if not, basically we have Daniel A. Boone (1812-1901) who married Sarah Ann Jones (1823-1876) and they had nine children: Susan, Sarah, Daniel, Cassie, Louis, Virginia, Nancy or Mary, Lucy, and Henry. I am descendant from Virginia. 3. I am checking again to see if anyone might have a clue as to what could have been Ruth [ ?]Boon's maiden name. She was married to Ratliff/Ratcliff Boon [1715-1787]. He died in Surry Co., North Carolina and many of their children moved to South Carolina and to Georgia. Also many show that the Joseph Boone (1736-1808), with wife Patience Toler, as having the middle initial as "H." Can anyone give me the documentation as to where this came from, and does anyone know what this "H" is for? Thanks again. 1. Re: [BOONE-L] Boone Lineage
    2. DAVID BROWN
    3. I have three "known" lines to Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan and a potential fourth Boone line for which any help or leads would be greatly appreciated (see more on 4th line below). 1st Line: George Boone III and Mary Maugridge Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan Samuel Boone and Sarah Day Mary "Polly" Boone and Leonard Keeling Bradley Terry Joseph Bradley and Nancy Bryan Grimes (see second line below) Samuel Boone Bradley and Frances Holman Mary Elizabeth Bradley and Lewis Green Dameron Nancy Elnora "Nolie" Dameron and Charles Calvin Brown Aubrey E. Brown and Mary Margaret Asbell (paternal grandparents) 2nd Line: George Boone III and Mary Maugridge Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan Mary Boone and William Bryan Sarah Bryan and James Grimes Nancy Bryan Grimes and Terry Joseph Bradley (see first line above) (the rest is same as first line above) 3rd Line: George Boone III and Mary Maugridge Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan Samuel Boone and Sarah Day Mary "Polly" Boone and Leonard Keeling Bradley Squire Boone Bradley and Lucetta Estes Sharp Leonard Keeling Bradley and Emmaline Elizabeth Upton George Luther Bradley and Cynthia Frances Parker Berkley Keeling Bradley and Ed Burch Stark (maternal grandparents) My 4th line is unproven. My 4th great-grandfather Timothy Logan, who was born 1759 in Rowan/Surry, NC and died 1848 in Garrard, KY, was supposedly first married to Sarah Boone (unfortunately, there is no marriage record). I have long suspected this "Sarah Boone" (possible wife of Timothy Logan) may be connected to Jonathan Boone (brother of Daniel); however, I was recently informed that she may be a daughter of Josiah Boone and Hannah Hite (with Josiah Boone being a son of George Boone IV and Deborah Howell and, therefore, a cousin of Daniel Boone). Does anyone have any information to prove or disprove this potential connection? Does anyone know if either Josiah Boone or Jonathan Boone had a daughter named Sarah? Here is the possible 4th Boone line: Timothy Logan and Sarah Boone (unproven marriage, and unsure of connection to Boone family) Elizabeth Logan and James Alexander John Alexander and Martha "Patsy" Rice Ann Elizabeth "Bettie" Alexander and William Howell Stark Ed Burch Stark and Berkley Keeling Bradley (maternal grandparents) Thanks! 3. Thanks, but my George Washington Boon(e) is not related to the son of Samuel Boone and Mary Foulke Hughes. That George Washington Boone was an Indiana State Senator and did not live in Ohio. My George Washington Boon(e) is found in the 1810 Census in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. In 1814 he moved to Ohio. In 1820 he was in Prairie Township, Wayne County, Ohio and after Holmes County was divided from Wayne County he is found in the 1830, 1840 and 1850 censuses in Salt Creek Township, Holmes County, Ohio. He did have a brother Samuel Boon(e) 7 Jan. 1784- 27 Sept 1847, who was married to Susanna Davidson. They lived in Fredericksburg, Wayne County, Ohio as well. 1. Missing Boone
    2. Hello, Can anyone Help! I am at a dead-end in my research on my Boon/e, Scott, and their allied families. I am asking for any help. I have not had much luck in finding out who the parents are of my great great-grandparents John D. Boone and Catherine Scott. It has always been said that John Boone, is related to Daniel Boone, but I am not sure by what line. My research though is pointing toward Jonathan, Daniel's older brother, as being how my family is related to Daniel Boone. If anyone can help me in answering this question or lead me in the right direction in my search I would greatly appreciated it. I believe John D. Boone is the son Thomas Boone and Sarah M. Gott, (who might be her parents I can't say) Thomas Boon/e born about 1800, I believe in Warren County, Kentucky and died sometime between 1822-1824 in Warren County, Kentucky. Right now, I am leaning toward John Boon/e and Hannah/Henrietta Stuart/Stewart as being Thomas Boon/e’s parents, I believe some of their childrens names are: Thomas, John, Richard Pearson, and Keziah Boone. I Know Richard P. Boone was born in Kentucky and he later moved to Arkansas and then to Texas. (I believe that their must be some relationship between Richard P. Boone and my John D. Boon/e. As my John D. Boone and Richard P. Boone, both were born in Kentucky, John born about 1822). I first find Richard P. Boone and John D. Boone in the Arkansas census, then they both move to Texas, although in different counties. Could Richard P. Boone be the uncle of John D. Boone? I am also having difficulty in finding any information on the John D. Boone wife Catherine Scott (her full name might be Mary Catherine Scott); she was born about 1825 in either Kentucky or Georgia. Catherine (Scott) Boone’s parents might be James Scott and Elizabeth __?___. After Arkansas, John Daniel Boone decided to move his family to Grayson County, Texas. I have John D. Boone, first showing up on the 1860 Grayson County, Texas census. In 1863, John Boone severed in the Texas Calvary in County C, 15 Bat. TST. as a third Lieutenant. I believe, but I cannot prove that Catherine Scott, died about 1866, in Grayson County, Texas. John D. Boone died about 1888 in Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. Below are the children of John D. Boone and Catherine (Scott) Boone: 1.) Mary Elizabeth Boone, born 1846 Arkansas and Married William Brackney, they had at least one daughter by the name of Fanny, born May 1870 Arkansas. 2.) Sarah "Sallie" W. or T. Boone {my line, the family bible has W. as the middle initial while the cencus has the middle initial as being W.} born July 20, 1849 Arkansas died Sept. 17, 1905 Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. Married John D. Smith. They had six children. 3.) Isadore "Dora or Dodie" Josephine Boone, born July 1851 Arkansas. Married December 07, 1871, Harvey Russell Goodman in Boone township, Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. Harvey R. Goodman, born December 1851 Missouri died Jackson Township, Polk County, Missouri. They had at least six children. 4.) William “Bill” John Boone, born 1861 Grayson County, Texas Married Alice___?____. They had at least seven children. 5.) Nancy Boone, born 1864 Grayson County, Texas. And Married Benjamin Garrett in September 05, 1875, at Robinson Township, Greene County, Missouri. 6.) Robert Scott Boone, born July 1866 Grayson County, Texas. Married (1) Cora A. Knowles, (2) Married Minnie Mae Shuler, born May 1881 Indiana. They had at least six children. Later after the war, John D. Boone took his family to Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. The question I have how did John hear about Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri was it form Nathan Boone or another family member. I am looking for help in any area. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful. I am of course willing to share all information I may have on the Bonne line. If you are able to shed light on any part of the Boones, are Scott or their allied families please do not hesitate. Also, if you see any mistake with my findings please get back with me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a few Photos of John D. Boone and family, as well as a letter written by John to his wife Catherine during the War Between the States. I am willing to share all information. Best regards, Kenneth

    2. Peggy Payne
    3. Charles Boone married to Alma Boone. Had a daughter, Alma Boone - my grabdfather's first wife. I'm looking for additional information on the Boones. Below is all I have: - My grandfather, Kirby Charles Carmack, married Alma Boone in New Hanover County, Wilmington Township, NC, 4 Nov 1919. They are shown in the 1920 US Census in the same place. They had two children living with them (niece and nephew). The children's names were Katherine M. Eagle (age 9) and William J. Eagle (age 6). There was only one Eagle family listed in the US Census (John T. Eagle, age 39, as the head with a wife, 2 daughters, 3 sons, and a brother living with him). I don't know whether this was Alma's relatives or not -- possibly since they are the only Eagles listed. - Alma's mother (Fannie Boone) was shown living next door to them on Campbell Street, New Hanover County. Henry (Fannie's son) was living with his mother in the 1820 Census. Alma's father (Charles C. Boone) was dead when she married my grandfather in 1919. I got Alma's parent's name from the marriage license (Kerby Carmack and Alma Boone). - Kirby married my grandmother (Beulah Lovith Hawkins) in 1927. She and my grandfather are in the 1930 US Census with my mother. I don't see Fannie in the 1930 Census, so she must have died. She was 53 in the 1920 Census. - Fannie Boone was in the 1930 Georgia Census. Any help would be appreciated. Peggy

Some of the surnames our Boones connect are: Haney, Harness, Crabtree,Julian, West, Gregory, Kelly/Kelley, Kestiner, Garland, Murphy, Cross, Wood, Green, Weaver...others but can't name them all right now. These people as well as our Boones settled in the southeastern portion of Missouri in the 1800s at least after 1870 but most likely before that. Records are very hard to find on some of them. If anyone is related to any of these I would love to share and receive any info...surely there must be family out there belonging to our Calvin Watson boone other than the few we have found.
