Hi fellow BOON(E) researchers, I would really love to hear from anyone who is interested in the BOON(E)s from Suffolk England. I am happy to share any information that I have. My line of Boons emigrated to Australia in 1886 from Suffolk. I have details going back to George BOON (b about 1758) and Martha FILER. George died in Benhall in 1819. Many BOON families from Suffolk trace themselves back to Ambrose BOON (b. about 1596 Saxmundham) and Elizabeth GRIMBLE but they have not been linked to my BOON family. Love to hear from you, Kind regards Sharon Williams (nee Boon)
I would appreciate any information connecting Margaret Boone Brand (1868-1947) Graves County, KY to Daniel Boone. According to family lore, there is some relationship. Margaret married Levi Frank Vaughan. Her parents were B. Frank Brand (whose parents were Arthur and Elizabeth) and Elizabeth F. Beadles. Beadles' mother may have been a Lee. Some of the family came down the Ohio on a flatboat from Boonesborrough in about 1805. Does Margaret Boone Brand Vaughan appear in any Boone researchers' records? Margaret's granddaughter, Sherry

List Members: Several Boone/Bryan descendents have recently asked for copies of an article I wrote in 1998 regarding the small family cemetery from which Martha Strode Bryan's headstone was removed and the probable site of the "Mansion House" where the she and her husband died. Rereading the article, I decided it could benefit from a rewrite. It's now about ready to send to those who requested it. I decided against posting it on the Boone and Bryan lists because of its considerable length and because it would be of little interest to the many list subscribers descend from unrelated Boone and Bryan lines. But if any of you descendents of Morgan and Martha out there want a copy, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you privately. Jack Bryan
This from Life of Daniel Boone by William Cody (Buffalo Bill) " In the year 1819 the distinguished American artist of Boston ,Mr. Chester Harding, paid a visit to Boone for the express purpose of painting his picture, to be placed in the gallery of prominent American portraits. After exacuting the work to the great satisfaction of Boone and of himself as well, Mr Harding wrote a little book which he curiously titled his"Egotistigraphy," in which he gave an account of his visit to Boone." Apparently Cody used this book for research while writing his book. Has anyone heard of this book? Doug Scott
