Dear List, I'm seeking information about George B. BOONE, who was born about January of 1899 in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana. He married a woman named Pauline (surname unknown) before 1942. I think he might have lived in the Los Angeles area at one time. He lived in Ft. Wayne, Indiana as a young man, with his mother Ella (Paxton) Boone and his sister Hazel. Any information about George or his family would be greatly appreciated. Art Hopkins Arthur Hopkins Bend, Oregon www.coinet.com/~arthopkins/

I want to again offer people my chronology of Boon(e) data in NY, MA, VT, CT from about 1600 to 1860-70. I have been collecting Northern Boon mentions for about 5 years and it is all together in 4 charts. They are in Microsoft Word for Mac, in chart form. And if I ever get my scanner up an running, I can probably send it that way, too. By the way, I offered this to RootsWeb and they accepted it, but did a very poor job of transcribing the New England Census data. I had about 150 Boon(e)s on that list and they only posted 85, and when I asked why they said some was in the wrong format and had duplications. I'm not happy about that, as it was ALL in the same format, and any so-called duplications were records of Boon(e)s with the same first names!! Has anyone else had any experience with submitting their data? Charnee

I believe a while back someone mentioned that the Spraker book was for sale at Ebay. If this is true I don't know what the price was, but I just purchased a new hardbound cover copy from Amazon.com website for $40.00 plus shipping. I believe that some ten years plus ago the price was $40.00 and I don't think I've been cheated one bit with the price remaining the same through the years. I wasn't supposed to get it until early July due to a 3-5 waiting period but got it within 10 days after placing the order. If anyone else is interested in getting a copy, I would suggest Amazon.com since the price is cheap considering the hard bound cover. I was in the printing business for 23-1/2 years and just recently left it, and that cost is very cheap nowadays for the information (regardless it's correct or incorrect) it contains. Thanks to S. Viehweg for the Samuel Boone info, but that is not the one I am looking for. This one had lived in KS for many years and, if it's mine, was b. in MA in 1787. By the way, iin SLC I also found ANOTHER possible descendant of Francis Boon, also named Francis, who lived in NY and moved to Wis. Old Francis, Sr moved all over the place and his progeny are now at about 12 and counting. These are also not Daniel's line. Charnee
Looking for Boone/Setzer connection. (Later spelled Setser) I show Jacob Setzer married Jemima Boone but not the Jemima who is Daniel Boone's daughter. Possibly a grand or great grand daughter. Thanks - Sandy
Twice now I have sent in a request to the Miami county, KS Genealogical Society asking for a lookup of several reference to Samuel Willard Boon in their Quarterly magaazine. (He died in the mid-1800s) I have not received any reply. Does anyone on this Board know about this man? He had at least one son also named Samuel, but I am interested in any other chidren and also his ancestry and birthplace. Charnee Smit STILL looking for parents of William Henry Boon after spending a week in SLC!!
Aloha! About the closest to KS I have is that of a Capt. Samuel Boone b: abt 1782 KY d: 1869 Calloway Co., MO m: Ann Simpson. By the way, I have a marriage date for George Boone and Ann "Nancy" Linville (parents of the above) in the year of 1764, but another son Squire b: in the year of 1760? Does anyone have the correct years for these two? Seems I found this info in the LDS files. Mahalo! S. Viehweg Viehweg Family Homepage http://www.viehweg.org

Hi all, I would be interested in any solid information on the children of Daniel Boone (son of William and Susannah Parks Boone) of Boonsboro, MD and Mary Arnsberger. I am trying to connect my Boone line from Londonderry, Bedford County, MD to this line. My ancestor was Martin Boone (b. 1818). His wife was Deliah (b. 1822). They were born in Alleghany county, MD as were their children (Elizabeth b. 1844, John A. b. 1846, Simon b. 1847 and Louise b. 1848). Family information states that Martin's father was Daniel Boone. I do know that Daniel had a son named Martin -- but do not have information on this Martin's children. Daniel's children fit into my time line and there is a good possibility that they are related. Any help is appreciated. Best Wishes, Carol Hepburn [email protected] Phoenix, AZ USA
Greetings, dear Cousins and Boone Friends, Can anyone tell me if the Boone family plays any role in Larry McMurtry's book called BOONE'S LICK? There was a lady who recently attended the 107th Session of the Supreme Shrine of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem held in Spokane, Wash. She mentioned to a lady seated near that she was a member of the Boone family. I attended Supreme Shrine and would like to know who the Boone lady was. Your Cousin, Ivan D. Lancaster of Trafalgar [email protected]
Would anyone know of any documentation (e.g., bible, church record, etc) as to when Elizabeth Boone (daughter of George W. Boone and Ann "Nancy" Linville) married Jesse Copher (Cofer). Several accounts indicate that they were married in 1781 in Kentucky, but give no documentation. Elizabeth "Betsy" Boone Born: July 21, 1765 in Rowan Co., VA Died: July 22, 1857 in Boone Co., MO . +Jesse Cofer Born: June 29, 1756 in Culpepper Co., VA Died: September 16, 1822 in Boone Co., MO Thanks much, Chester Buchanan
Hello Cousins and fellow list members, To answer some specific questions re: my knowledge of MD Boones. to Nancy Lexo - I do not have knowledge of a Stephen Boone in my direct line. On my research CD called "Colonial Families of Maryland, 1600s - 1900s" from Family Tree Maker there are 2 references to a Stephen Boone, the son of Capt. Humphrey Boone and Anne Slade Boone (Stephen had a sister named Rebecca who married a John Beale Howard - the reference to Stephen is that Rebecca and sisters sued Stephen over father's estate. Rebecca married John Howard about 1770. Capt. Humphrey Boone is a descendant of my ancestor Humphrey but not my ancestor. See my other post re: Humphrey Boone from todays date. That is all I know of this Stephen. ) to Anne Locke - I don't know if any of my Johns were in P.G. Co., MD. My references to them are all from Anne Arundel Co. My CD listed above mentions some other John Boones but they are in QueenAnne and Talbot counties on the Eastern Shore or St.Mary's Co. to Arthur Hopkins - sorry, none of these names are in my info to Shirley Middleton Moller - sorry, no Stansburys in my line. Ther are a few Stanburys on my "Colonial Families of Maryland, 1600s - 1900s" but not in association with my Boone line to Gail Meyer Gilgore - no Eleanor Boone that I can find in my line or on above CD I will try to get more of my data on my line in some semblence of order and repost it (last done Jan. at last roll call, direct line only, which I will repost now). It is hard to post it all in this email format. Unfortunately my geneology software doesn't do a good job of exporting info into a text file, so I basically have to type it all. I have info on Boone names other than those in my direct ancestry, and info on a lot of other colonial-era ancestors who married into this line. If anyone is interested I could probably email data in attachments directly to you. If interested in this data on this Boone line, respond directly to me at: [email protected] I am willing to do name lookups on my MD geneology CD for anyone on the list (but no promise to be prompt!!) There seem to be several different Boone lines in Colonial MD. These are the lines that I have run across: Descendents from Humphrey Boone, those from a John Boon in Talbot Co on the Eastern Shore of MD who received his land patent in 1669, a John Boone who settled in Calvert Co and died there in 1689, William Boone in the Boonesboro area near Fredrick, and a Bohn (Angicized later to Boon or Boone - I don't know much about them) Ed Boone
This is basically a repost of what I originally posted in January at the last roll call, with some added dates and names of siblings of my line. Note that the children are not in chronological order, but the one in my line is listed last to allow this listing to be readable. The numbers are for each generation from Humphrey.
