I agree with Kathryn. I tried to contacted them by e-mail with no luck. So I would appreciate their mailing address. I am interested in membership and their reunion in the northwest. Actually, it would be fine if the Boone Society could e-mail me directly, then I could just reply. could someone send me the physical address for the Boone Society? Somehow my browser just isn't letting me access booneinfo.com for the past couple of weeks. I know it's my computer/software, since no one else is having the problem. Just the address is fine, and thanks in advance. Kathryn
I heard that there were possible college scholarships available for descendants of Daniel Boone. Does anyone have any information about this? DeLynda Lyda [email protected]

A True, Brief History of Daniel Boone Item # 1437612073 I finally found this out of print book several years ago...here's another one. Has some wonderful photos of battle monuments at Blue Licks KY, etc. (No, I am not connected with Ebay in any way, just passing on this tip!) Nancy B. Bowen
All of my recent files were deleted when we recovered from a virus, I lost the files and addresses, a bad virus. Please be careful about attachments until this virus is killed. If anyone sent me mail recently about the families of Sarah Ann Boone Coleman d/o Howard Boone and Elizabeth Floyd please resend. No Attachments please. Alicia >
I don't know if there are two books with the same name or if I have the book Nancy Bowen is referring to, but as of a couple of years ago this book was still being sold at the Daniel Boone Home in Defiance, MO. I believe I only paid $10.00 for it. So if you plan on going to eBay, you may want to check into its availability. I don't recall the Boone home website address but I'm sure you can find it on the internet. Debbi Geer __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Can't get in! "too many Java Script errors". Am I doing something wrong? Kathryn
I am seeking information on the Webb connection with the Boone Family. My husband is a descendant of Charles Monroe Webb, b October 21, 1859 in Pattonsburg, Daviess County, Missouri. He died June 9, 1925 in Hugo Colorado. His father was James Hanley Webb and his mother was Elizabeth Skeen. Charles married Sarah Elizabeth Sweat, b February 20, 1868, Daviess County, Missouri. She died January 21, 1952, Denver, Colorado. Her father was Isreal Sweat and her mother was Martha Persinger. I don't have any more information beyond that. A daughter of Charles and Sarah, Ora Elizabeth, became my husband's great-grandmother. This side of the family claims kinship with the Boones, although no one can give me the exact connection. I see that Squire Boone's sister, Mary, married a John Webb and wonder if this is the connection. Can anyone provide me with the missing gap, if it does exist? Thanks! Carol Kotsch [email protected]
For those of you who are descended from Ervin AKA James Ervin Boone, we have a newly found cousin. I have not ask his permission to post his name but did want to let you all know he has polished Ervin's headstone, and it looks new. It is leaning and the next job is to correct the foundation. Squire> Israel> Jonathan> Thomas> Israel>James "Ervin"> For those who descend from John "The Sheriff" Boone who married Isabelle "Ebby" Kincaid, who might live near the Kincaid Cemetery. Can you check the status of the burying ground? I was there last summer and it was so very sad. The original intentions for the burying ground were well planned out of respect many years ago. Squire>Israel> Jonathan> John "The Sheriff" Boone Any Jonathan Boone descendants, interested in headstones and better fencing for the Kincaid Cemetery? Anyone in the area who could help on this project? I will help all that I can. Many of us have jobs, family, and other responsibilities, and time does pass very fast. Would love to hear from anyone interested? Lou Ann

I have had a virus sent to me that attacked my Windows/ Profile program. McAfee could not get rid of it so I had to delete my program. I don't know where it came from but I want everyone to be aware of it. Someone's mail I opened had it. My computer shut down yesterday when I tried to open a pfi attachment. I hope I didn't sent it to anyone, I seldom sent any attachments. Alicia
C-Span is currently showing shots of the Daniel Boone home at Defiance, Missouri as part of it's Travelling Schoolbus segment. It's roughly 6 minutes, and you'll find it shown between programming, like a commercial would be. I don't know if these segments show up in the schedule, which is always very fluid. But here is the schedule site: http://inside.c-spanarchives.org:8080/cspan/cspan.csp?command=dschedule If you really want to see it, I'd suggest you tape 6 hours of C-Span (maybe 12), and do a lot of fast-forward searching for it.
