Does anyone know the parents of William Henry Bonner who married Nancy Martin in Hempstead County, Arkansas in 1824. Nancy Martin was from Dayton, Tennessee (I think) and I have been told that her mother's name was Susannah. They entered Texas in 1831 but he was killed. She with a one year old son William Henry Bonner II went to the fort at Nacogdoches until the end of Texas' battle with Mexico. William Henry Bonner II married Melinda Blackburn (do not know where she came from) and their son William Henry Bonner III married Florence Mantooth (Mantooth family from Cocke County, Tennessee). They settled in Homer, Texas originally and then Lufkin, Texas. William Henry Bonner III was my ggrandfather. I have found Nancy Martin's burial site in Redland, Texas (she later married a man by the name of Lange). I have not been able to find anything about William Henry Bonner I.
