    3. Hi, Sean et al: Wouldn't the census records which have your father on them (look for early ones with him as a child, too) have the place of birth of him and also of his parents? I have these from 1920 for a friend who's grandfather supposedly came from Poland, come to find out he was from Russia, it named the town, gave his language as "lituhanian" and gave the same information for his parents, tho they never came to the US. Might find out some interesting stuff that way, even unknown brothers and sisters, others that lived in their household, etc. good information as to where to start...
