    1. [BONNER] Issac Bonar Born 1824 in Noble Co, Oh, son of David M Bonar
    2. Robert L Edwards
    3. I am currently searching for the death date and location for my GGGrand dad: Isaac Bonar This taken from the Bonar Genealogy B c1824, —tradition, m probably c 1851, to Ellenor Jones, b c 1832 in Ohio, d Sept 2, 1868, and is buried in Road Fork Cemetery, Noble County, Ohio. Ellen was probably the daughter of Amos B. and Pamelia Jones, or Samuel P. and Mary Jones; each of these families had a daughter, Ellen, about the right age, in the 1850 Monroe Co. Census. Walton’s History indicates, “In 1849 he went to California, “sailing round the horn”.” This of course refers to the California Gold Rush. (No substantiation) It also indicates that he was married twice but does not name the second wife. 1860 Monroe County, Ohio, Census Center Twp., Page 39, Entry 286-286: Isaac Bonar 36 b Ohio teacher $150 personnel property, Ellenor 28 b Ohio, Olivia 8 b Ohio. 1870 Noble Co, Ohio, census Elk Twp. Entry 57-56 Isaac Bonar 46 farmer $1100 + $225 b Ohio, Florence M 9 b Ohio housework. Ellenor had died 2 years before this census was taken. The 1870 Census lists also Elisebeth born in 1833, and Rushamania (8 months old) born in 1869. Elisebeth died July 29, 1884 and is buried in Roadfork Cemetery His daughter Florence married Benjamin F Lee, their first child was born in 1882 in Iowa. We know that Issac shortly followed Florence and her husband west, we also know that in 1886 he was involved with, BF Lee Florence’s husband in a land purchase in Ottawa County Kansas, (Minneapolis) and as late as 1891 he was involved in a land sale. There is a family tradition that he was involved in the Oklahoma land rush and was injured there but this is unsubstantiated. ( There were several land rushes and we have no information which one. (4/22/1889, 9/22/1891, 4/19/1892, 9/16/1893 and 5/03/1895) Currently we have been able to find Isaac’s burial location. He is not buried in the same cemetery as Florence in Minneapolis. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Bob
