William Henry Bonner and Nancy Martin (born in Dayton, Tennessee) married in 1825 in Arkansas. They attempted to enter Texas from Louisiana in the early 1830s about San Augustine where William Henry Bonner was killed. It is thought that he grew up in or about Rapides Parish, Louisiana, but I have not found proof. Nancy Martin traveled into Nacogdoches, Texas with her one year old son and stayed until Texas won its independence. She later married William Gordon Lang.
