I am searching for ancestral information on my great-grandfather, George BONNER (1837-1919) who lived in Point Aconi, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was married to Sarah O'HANDLEY who was from Long Island, N.Y. He was the lighthouse keeper at Point Aconi and was well known for his medical skills with both people and animals as well as for his cranberry bog. George and Sarah had 5 boys and 7 girls. Four of their children were: Thomas Bethune; Jack; Ernest; and Elizabeth (Bessy). Thomas Bethune BONNER (my grandfather) m. Nora MacLean. Bessy BONNER m. Alphonse Plant.
