Penny, A cousin did extensive research and said that County Antrim was the place in Ireland. I think the name "Samuel" in our line comes from Samuel Laird/Leard but am not sure. I have that while the Lairds came to SC on "The Earl of Hillsborough," the Bonners came on the "Nancy."
