    1. [BONNER] Descendants of Wilamith Almyra Bonner
    2. Can anyone help with the following family? Thanks, Kenny Shackleford Descendants of Wilamith Almyra Bonner Generation No. 1 1. WILAMITH ALMYRA6 BONNER (JORDAN5, THOMAS4, HENRY3, HENRY2, HENRY1)1 was born October 03, 1826 in Washington County, Alabama, and died December 24, 1924 in Wayne County, Mississippi. She married (1) PHILLIP MCINNIS April 24, 1847 in Possible Washington or Choctaw County, Alabama, son of JOHN MCINNIS and MARGARET MCINTOSH. He was born April 23, 1809 in Possible Tombigbee District, Mississippi Territory, and died October 03, 1860 in Wayne County, Mississippi. She married (2) UNKNOWN WALLEY Aft. 1860 in Possible Washington or Choctaw County, Alabama. He was born Unknown in Unknown, and died Unknown in Unknown. Notes for WILAMITH ALMYRA BONNER: Wilamith Almyra Bonner was the tenth child of Jordan Bonner and Mary Adams, born October 03, 1826 in Washington or Choctaw County, Alabama. She is listed as Wilmoth in Roots Web but in the 1850 Choctaw County, Alabama Census she is listed as Wilmuth S, with a question mark. In the 1870 Wayne County, Mississippi Census she is listed as Wilamith A. In this research she will be considered Wilamith. Wilamith was married two times. Her first husband was Phillip McInnis, sixteen years her senior. Phillip is believed to be the brother of Peter McInnis, who married Emily Bonner, sister of Wilamith. Phillip was a son of John McInnis (born 1769) and Margaret McIntosh (born 1780). They were born in Scotland. Though uncertain, Phillip is believed to have been born in the Tombigbee District of the Mississippi Territory April 23, 1809. Phillip was married prior to his marriage to Wilamith Bonner to Mary Ann Lankford. The following children were born to this marriage; John born in Alabama 1845, Christopher C. born in Alabama 1845, Daniel born in Alabama 1840, and Duncan born in Alabama 1844. Mary Ann, born 1809, was a daughter of Edmond Lankford. She died before 1847, possibly in Choctaw County, Alabama. In the 1850 Census of Choctaw County these children were living in the household of Phillip and Wilamith. Phillip is listed as a farmer and his son John, who was seventeen, is listed as a laborer. Phillip and Wilamith had five children, the last being born during 1859. It is believed that Phillip died before the 1860 Census was taken. Wilamith shows up again in the 1870 Wayne County, Mississippi Census and is listed with the last name of Walley. Her second husband is only known as a Mr. Walley. He is not listed in the 1870 Census. He must have died before the Census was taken. No children have been found that may have been born to this union. In the 1900 Wayne County, Mississippi Census there is listed a "Wilmor Halley." Actually this has to be Wilamith. Also listed in this Census is Mary I., James J., William L., Sarah W., Constatine, Phillip, Pearl, and Alexander. Wilamith is buried at the McInnis and Douglas Cemetery in Bucatunna, Wayne County, Mississippi. More About PHILLIP MCINNIS and WILAMITH BONNER: Marriage: April 24, 1847, Possible Washington or Choctaw County, Alabama More About UNKNOWN WALLEY and WILAMITH BONNER: Marriage: Aft. 1860, Possible Washington or Choctaw County, Alabama Children of WILAMITH BONNER and PHILLIP MCINNIS are: i. MARY I.7 MCINNIS2, b. November 08, 1848, Choctaw County, Alabama; d. January 11, 1938, Possible Mississippi. Notes for MARY I. MCINNIS: No information has been found or made available on Mary I. McInnis with the exception to the dates of her birth and death. It is unknown if she ever married or had any children. There is a Mary McInnis that married a Mr. Kittrell who is buried at the McInnis Cemetery near Prentiss, Mississippi in Jeff Davis County, which was a part of Covington County. No conclusive evidence has been found that would confirm or disprove this individual. ii. PHILLIP CONSTANTINE MCINNIS3, b. 1849, Choctaw County, Alabama; d. Unknown, Unknown. Notes for PHILLIP CONSTANTINE MCINNIS: Information and evidence found on Phillip Constantine McInnis in the 1850 Choctaw County, Alabama Census list this person as a male, name Constantine P. In the 1900 Wayne County, Mississippi there is a Constatine listed as a female. This person is listed with Wilamith Walley, formerly McInnis. This confuses the issue. Could it be that Phillip Constatine McInnis had a daughter named Constatine? Answers to this question are illusive at best. iii. JORDAN BONNER MCINNIS4, b. August 03, 1850, Choctaw County, Alabama; d. April 26, 1926, Possible Wayne County, Mississippi. Notes for JORDAN BONNER MCINNIS: No information other that date of birth and death has been found regarding Jordan McKinnis. 2. iv. MARGARET AMELIA MCINNIS, b. Notes for JAMES WILLIAM MCINNIS: Posted on the Choctaw County Alabama Queries is the following information. This certainly shows evidence that James was married and had children, at least a son. This son had a son as well which is the person who posted this query. BONNER/McINNIS J. H. McInnis My family connection to Choctaw Co. goes back to the earliest days when Alabama was still part of the Miss. Territory. Jordan BONNER and his family lived in the northern portion of Washington Co. as did my paternal Great Grandfather Philip McINNIS. G.-G. Phil married Wilmoth Almira BONNER (daughter of Jordan and Mary/Polly Adams BONNER) in early 1847, before the creation of Choctaw Co. The 1850 census lists them as Phil McINIS (he seems to have insisted on only one "n") and "Wilmuth"--well, that's close. By 1859 when my Grandfather (James William McInnis) was born they had moved across the state line to Wayne Co., Miss., where they stayed. Jordan BONNER died in Washington Co. in 1841 leaving quite a number of children from a total of three marriages, some of whom lived and died in what became Choctaw Co. I wish I could locate his grave but my one visit to Choctaw Co. didn't turn it up. More About JAMES MCINNIS and UNKNOWN: Marriage: Aft. 1880, Possible Wayne County, Mississippi Generation No. 2 2. He was born January 02, 1854 in Wayne County, Mississippi, and died June 20, 1931 in Wayne County, Mississippi. Notes for MARGARET AMELIA MCINNIS: Margaret Amelia McInnis was the forth child born to the union of Phillip McInnis and Wilamith Almyra Bonner. She was born in Choctaw, Alabama August 04, 1853. She married William E. Douglas, son of Drewery Douglas and Elizabeth Walley. William was born in Wayne County, Mississippi January 02, 1854. Little is known of the personal lives of William and Margaret. They lived out their lives in Wayne County. William died in Wayne County June 20, 1931. Margaret died in Wayne County June 27, 1921. They are buried at the Providence Cemetery in Wayne County. Ten children were born to this union. William's Parents Drewery, known as "Drew," was born in the Mississippi Territory about 1811.
