    3. Hi Warren, I feel someday we are going to find that your missing parents to your loyalist Isaac Bonnell may be the same parents or closely related to my loyalist Benjamin Bonnell's parents, Benjamin Bonnell and wife Eleanor (#2 wife). Both your family and mine were Quakers and very few Bunnell/Bonnell's of New Jersey were Quakers like our families. I feel we may come from the Penn Quaker, Robert Bonnell who came with William Penn to Phila. then moved to Mendham/Morris NJ where he did have a son named Benjamin. This entire line is also the disconnected line from the mainstream Bunnell's of the William Bunnell of Connecticut where my DNA does not match I am told. Your Isaac could be from this branch as I suspect I am too. And Isaac runs in both our family's. Needs more investigation. It would be interesting if you had a DNA test done and submit it to the Bunnell's that are compiling all this. If we match, then bingo. Take care and good luck. Paul Paul J. 3. Hi, Paul... IIRC Isaac was born a Presbyterian and became an Anglican. That's if he came from the CT B(o)(u)nnells who descended from William. I hadn't heard of a Quaker line of Bonnells from PA. Interesting. But supposedly there was a Thomas Bonnell who emigrated directly to NJ. The DNA test wouldn't work for me, since it's Y chromosome DNA that's tested, and my Y chromosome tests as Wetmore. I think the disconnect from family line may be due to family dissent over the Revolution. Best, Warren ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul J. 3. Good points Warren. I'm not that great understanding all that DNA stuff even after taking the test. (lol) I did read somewhere that the early Fox family were all Quakers so that is where I observed the possibilities of Quaker connections on your side. Though my Loyalist Ben was Quaker, he ended up changing to Anglican, and most of his kids became Baptist in NB. Paul Paul J.
