The only source I've seen for her birth/parents is the IGI. In fact, the IGI also shows a Charity Dickerson, b.19 Sep 1789, marrying a William T. Hunt about 1806; and a Charity Dickerson, daughter of Simeon and Mary (Slaght) Dickerson as dieing 30 Oct 1844. In all of these cases, there is no source cited. All of these Charity Dickersons are born in NY. The source for Charity Dickerson being the wife of Barnett is also the IGI, but it shows this Charity Dickerson being born in Kingwood, Hunderdon co., NJ ABOUT 1790. The submitter for this info is available. So if you contact that person you might be able to obtain info on the source. The submitter was MRS. GEORGE E. BARNHILL; 117 SOUTH PARK STREET, BOX 416, SUGAR CITY,IDAHO 83448. Just to muddy the water a little, there is also a Charity Dickerson b. 1766 in NY and two or three others born about 1800 in NC, VA, and/or TN. Let us all know if you have any luck.
