My initial search not leading to a solution, I dropped the matter for several months and only recently decided to take another look. As I suspected, Charity, dau. of Simeon and Mary (Slaght) DICKERSON was not Barnett's wife. His wife was Charity DICKISSON, alias DICKINSON, dau. of Pvt. Isaac and Margaret (Parker) DICKISSON, born abt.1799 in New Jersey, died sometime after the U.S. Census of 1850 and before that of 1860. Definitive proof of her identity was found in the Revolutionary War Pension Records of Isaac Dickisson in a document by James E. Eldred, Clerk of the Orphans Court of Pike County, PA in which he certifies that '.Charity Dickinson formerly wife of Barnett Bunnell.' [www.footnote.com/image/19230843].
