At first it struck me as quite an unusual surname for Wales, but following reseach I've found that it was quite common in Carmarthenshire during the 19th century. Is there anyone out there who knows the origins of the BONNELL family name. Thanks Richard

This is for Forest Davis. I didn't get the original posting/inquiry; however, when my Grandmother, Clarinda Davis Green was living I certainly remember her talking about a "Forest" don't remember who he was but when I saw the heading on behalf of forestdavis I couldn't help but wonder if that individual was the same person. My email address at home is bluebird1242@hotmail.com if you would be willing to email me I would appreciate it. Since the email went to the Bonnell list I can't help but think we are related. Shortly after their marriage in 1787, Calvin Morrell went to Ohio. In the early 1790s, one of the earliest settlers of the Cincinnati area, he built a blockhouse, was one of the first members of a new Masonic Lodge and then about 1805 joined the Shakers in Hamilton County, OH. He was a doctor. I have never been able to find further information about his wife, Rhoda, or children if they had them. I would appreciate any information you are willing to share.
