We can only guess which Bonnell line he descended from. We need to locate a male Bonnell/Bunnell cousin descendant from NJ to Il., Mo., Co.for the DNA testing. My ancestor was a son of Reuben's (Reuben m. Catherine Fezler, then divorced; she then m. Elisha Mulford) named David T Bonnell (m. Sarah Kirby) b 1816. David died in Jersyville, Il. One of his sons was named Dayton Bonnell. Other male names were Charles, George, later Herbert, and Benton. My Reuben is numbered 218, I think on Claude Bunnell's website. We will appreciate any help. My Reuben was a cabinetmaker. There is also a Reuben (carpenter who built houses in 1840's and 1850's Md.) listed in Md., born about the same time as my David T Bonnell. The parents of that Reuben are also unknown. I hope we can locate a descendant of his plus a male Bonnell cousin of mine for DNA comparison. MRS. MILLIE BONNELL PASSED AWAY TODAY ___ Well Known Lady Suffered Three Strokes of Paralysis Within a Short Time - Funeral Saturday ___ Mrs. Millie Bonnell, wife of Ora A. Bonnell, answered the summons of death this morning at 1 o'clock at Cole's hospital, where she was taken a week ago for treatment for paralysis. Seven weeks ago Mrs. Bonnell suffered the first stroke, and she grew rapidly worse until she was taken to the hospital. After a couple of days' treatment she was considerably improved, and it was thought that she would recover. Yesterday morning, very suddenly, she suffered a second stroke, last night came the third, and at 1 o'clock the final shock came in which she passed away. Mrs. Bonnell was born in Meadville, Pa., fifty years ago. She was a daughter of Jerusha and Lyman Hunt. Thirty years ago she came to Conneaut to live, and in 1890 she was united in marriage to Mr. Bonnell at Pierpont. Mrs. Bonnell is survived by her husband, one daughter, Miss Mildred Bonnell, two sisters, Mrs. Addie Tuttle, of Liberty street, and Mrs. P. C. Hilbert of Grand Rapids, Mich., and a great many friends who will be deeply grieved over her death. The funeral will be held at the East Conneaut church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Olin Clark Jones officiating. Interment will be made in the East Conneaut cemetery.

I was looking for information on him when I found your posting on Thelma. I lost track of Thelma a few years ago after she moved to Washington with her son. I did not know she passed away but sort of figured it when she didn't reply to our Chirstmas letters. Do you know in what cemetery Thelma and Russell are buried? I don't know how Russell died or the date. I have just started doing a family ancestry on my family. What relation are you to Thelma? My mother and father had divorced after I was born. I met Russell when I was in my teens they came to my brothers funneral in Michigan. They came to our home in Niceville, FL after my husband and I moved here. I don't know too much about Thelma's family only that she had a son. If you have any information on my father I would love to have it and if there is anyway I can help you let me know. Thank you and God Bless you. Sherrie Veasey redhorse122@aol.com
