    1. [BONE]Updated Rootsweb Mailing Lists to Mailman 3.0
    2. Rootsweb has upgraded the software that runs RootsWeb Mailing Lists to Mailman 3.0. The interface is different than what you are used to, but it is more secure and we hope you will enjoy using it. Rootsweb removed all the existing passwords when they updated the system, but not the email addresses. Some of you may never have had a password, but you will find the system easier to use if you set one. The upgraded system has a completely different interface. If you have not re-registered your account since March 1st, you will need to re-register your account.  Your old login will not work. http://home.rootsweb.ancestry.com/listindexes/listsHelp To better understand the new system, Rootsweb recommends that you download PDF documents you will find at: http://bit.ly/RootsWebDocs  Jim YoungList Admin

    1. [BONE] BONE Family: South Hayling, Hampshire, England - 19th century
    2. Judith Upton
    3. Hi Is anyone out there descended from the BONE family of South Hayling, Hampshire, England? Henry BONE born circa 1793 in Hampshire married Mary Dicoda or Mary Direnda UNKNOWN circa 1825 Children: Thomas born 1825 Hayling, Hampshire Clara born 1827 Hayling, Hampshire Walter born 1829 Hayling, Hampshire Ann Bushby born 1833 in Hayling, Hampshire Mary born 1834 in Hayling, Hampshire. Henry BONE could be the 19 Aug 1783 baptism to Thomas and Mary BONE in South Hayling, Hampshire. Of the children: Clara, Walter and Ann all appear unmarried in census throughout their lives usually living together. Thomas appears to have maried. He is living unmarried with the family in 1851 but as a widower living with his sisters and brother in 1871. Mary may have married between 1851 and 1861. I have found a family Bible, printed 1828 from the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, with the children's dates of birth written in the back. Any descendant is welcom to have this book for the cost of the postage. regards Judith Upton Portishead, Bristol, UK

    2. Hi, Elizabeth... Despite the similarity in the name, the Jane Bone who married Alexander Parker was born around 1804, so I doubt it's the same one who's buried with William in Australia. It would be neat to find a link, though, perhaps in William's father's or grandfather's generation. If I come across a William Bone in my searches, I'll let you know. Good hunting! 2. I'm new to the list and hope someone out there links to this Bone family. My 3rd great-grandfather was Quintin Parker (1827-1904). According to Quintin's death certificate, his parents were Alexander Parker and Jane Bone. This family is found in the 1841 Scotland census in Greenock North, Renfrewshire. Quintin is mis-indexed as "Lantin." The couple also has a son James, born around 1824. According to the 1841 census, Alexander was born around 1803 and Jane around 1804. Does anyone have information about Jane Bone, born around 1804, who married Alexander Parker? I hope so! ;] Thanks, Susan Huff

    1. [BONE] Marriage of John Bone and Malvina Gregoire
    2. Peggy Gordon
    3. Hello, I have been searching for this marriage, which was probably abt. 1867 as their daughter Emelie was born 1868. Emelie's baptism says she was born in Coxsackie, New York Oct 1868 but Emelie's obit says she was from Henrysburg. Not sure whether to look for marriage in the Methodist church in Hemmingford (as many Bone records are there) or in New York. John was supposed to be born in the USA in 1821 but haven't found that either. He should be the son of John Bone and Mary Talford from England, if I have figured things out correctly. Thanks for any help. Peggy
