    1. Re: William Bond and Fanny
    2. Hi Mary Lou, As I have a Bond-Johnson connection I got in the habit of looking at any Bond- Johnson info. I found this at Salt Lake in a book called "The Ancestory of Grafton Johnson". In talking about Rebecca Johnson was this - "Four years after her husbands death which occured in 1809, she as a widow with six children united with William Bond, son of William Bond and Frances Ballou". This was recorded in both Franklin and Woodford County Kentucky. It goes on "This second husband subsequently served in the War of 1812 with Richard M. Johnson's mounted regiment of Kentucky volunteers, having inherited his fighting blood from his father, who, of good old Virginia stock, had enlisted in the Revolutionary War in the latter state." There were six children born to William and Rebecca, the youngest was Preston Bond, "a well known Methodist minister". Preston married Belinda Fletcher Arthur. While this doesn't answer your original question of who William and Fanny Bond were, it gives a couple of possibilities for further research. Possibly William applied for a Revolutionary War pension (or better yet maybe Fanny did), and if Preston was well known, that could be a lead. This is the second time I have posted this. The first time was in answer to a query about Fanny Ballou as William's wife. Possibly the person who sent that query will see this and offer some additional info. Another possibility, at least two of Rebecca's children married into the Ballou family. Good hunting. Phyllis in Phoenix leotaphyls@aol.com
