As long as you are welcoming new Bonds, can I put myself in the loop? I am descended from John Bond, who married Susannah Wade in Halifax County, VA in 1780. They moved to Washington, Co., KY maybe 1800. I have received, through new Internet cousins, a lot of information about John's descendants. I am descended through Mastin, Richard, Samuel, and Oscar, who was adopted out after his mother died giving birth to him and his deceased twin, and ended up with a German immigrant family in Chicago and a new name (William Pilz). I have a lot of information about Susannah Wade's family, since it was prominent in Halifax County, but NOTHING about John. The Wades seem to be intermarried at several points with a family named HAMPTON. Can anyone help me? There are a lot of John Bonds in VA in the 1700's. I think my John may have been related to a Wright Bond who lived in Halifax Co. VA at the same time. Wright appears to be descended from a Bond family in Cumberland County, VA. One of Wright's nephews, also named Wright (there are three altogether, the uncle and two nephews from different brothers) moved to Anderson Co., KY, which is adjacent to Washington Co., and also adjacent to Mercer Co., KY, which has a town called "Bondville" in it. The younger Wrights appear to have served in the Rev War. Ancestry.com mixes one of these up with the elder Wright, who is descended from William and Ann Bond of Cumberland County. The elder Wirght had an ordinary license in Halifax Co in the 1750's and the younger Wrights were born 1755 and 1759, so they can't be the same. Any information about John BOND married to Susannah WADE in Halifax Co. 1780, would be apprecuated! Thank you, Alice Pilz
