Angie, The William BONDS of Watertown, Mass is the line a few of us on the list come from. The Palsgrave WELLINGTON you mention was a Medical Doctor. He married Sarah BOND (b. 27 Jul 1661) on 29 Jan in either 1689 or 1690. They were married by Sarah's father William BOND who later died on 14 Dec 1695. It is thought that Sarah died sometime prior to the death of her father. This line was very well researched in the early to mid 1800's by Henry BOND, MD and he found no children from the marriage of Sarah and Dr. Palsgrave WELLINGTON. There were however a substantial number of William BONDS born in subsequent generations. Many are documented with their middle names, none with WELLINGTON, that I can find. However, many are not listed with any middle name. As an example, the William BOND who came from England and later married Sarah BISCOE had a son named William. He was a Lieut. and a Deacon and married Hepzibah HASTINGS. They had no less than three children named William (two died at a young age). Deacon William BOND had brothers John and Thomas who had sons named William. This third generation produced at least five William BONDS and so it goes. A few of these have recorded middle names, but a number of them either did not have middle names or they were not found in Dr. Henry BONDS research efforts. Happy hunting and thank you very much for sharing the "Sketch of Bond" with us. -Donald Phillips Bond
