Hi Phyllis Thanks for that information. You wouldn't happen to know if that John Bond was Black, would you? There were a number of Black Bond names in a book called "Bond, an American Family" published about 15 years ago. It was mostly people of color,and there was a John Bond , who was refused a land grant in Nova Scotia about that time, because he was black.. I am white, but I do like James Brown and Bob Marley.. Maybe my descendants were lighter than others.. :) >A John Bond from the Joseph( S.C. I think) and John Bond line went to Nova Scotia around the start of the Revolution.
