Genie, I don't know who built the Mayflower, but there was a branch of the Bond family in London that owned many ships in the 1500's. Five took part in the battle against the Spanish Armada in 1588, "the Soloman, the Barke Bonde, the Primrose, the Jonas and the Fortune.
