This John wasn't decended from Jonas and no one has ever proved any connection to England or any vessel from there. That is why I believe he was a bond servant. He was arrested as a youth for "chasing a young woman into the loft of her house from whence she fell through" and for " throwing down the great gun at Salem" with some other youths. He lived in the part of Haverhill which became Hampstead New Hampshire and in 1650 was a petitioner for the incorporation of a town in New Hampshire which was not approved by the royal governor. As a court witness at about that time he was reference as " a freeman of good repute". I guess any kid who had the guts to indenture himself to go to the wilderness can turn out ok.
