Hi, Did you ever hear of a Captain William Bond, b. c. 1655. In the late 1600's and early 1700's he was captain of a ship which went from the Carolinas with rice to NY and on to Amsterdam. He settled in Ulster Co., NY. He was educated as I've seen photocopies of records he wrote. Looks to be an Englishman. But I have NO clue as to where he came from. The New England Bonds would seem the most likely. Any ideas or suggestions? Phyllis J. Miller
