From the book: Notes on Charles Bond, Sr., and His Descendants from 1733, by Catherine Sams Bond Gheesling. Atlanta, GA: the author, 1975, p. 39: Paraphrased: It states that Lindsey Bond was born on Feb. 28, 1801 in Georgia and was married to Susanna Sartin on December 22, 1825 in Madison Co.., GA. They are listed in the Franklin Co. GA census records through 1840 with Susanna being born between 1800- 1810. In the 1850 census Lindsey is listed with a wife named Eliza, b. in 1815--possibly a second marriage. Lindsey Bond is listed in Cobb Co.., GA in 1848, 1849, and 1851 in the tax records there. The 1850 Cobb Co. Census shows his family living in the same household as a James Sartin, No. 1527 of the census. Lindsey Bond is a brother of Nelly Bond who married John Sartain, Jr. and of Frances Bond who married Elisha Sartain. John Jr., and Elisha were brothers. I believe that Susanna must also be a sister of John Jr., and of Elisha. This would make 3 Bond siblings married to 3 Sartain siblings. Nelly Bond and John Sartain, Jr. are my direct ancestors.
