Hi - I am a new subscriber searching for information about / relatives of the BOND family of County Kilkenny, Ireland. (The only Bonds I have found in this county were from Freshford.) My family came to the US late 1840s - mid 1850s (perhaps via England) and settled in Saugerties, NY. (They were there by the 1870 census.) The family subsequently moved (ca. 1880) to Fall River, MA. John BOND (b. ca. 1825) married Margaret McCARTY (b. ca. 1826), daughter of Thomas McCarty and Margaret NEARY. John and Margaret's children: - Thomas BOND (b. 1841-8) in Cty Kilkenny married Eliza REDMOND (My gt- grandparents) - Bridget BOND (b. 1845-56) in Ireland - John BOND (b.1847-50) in Ireland married Bridget SWEETMAN in 1879 in Saugerties, NY - Julia BOND (b. ca 1856) in NY Does anyone recognize this family or other BONDs from County Kilkenny, Saugerties NY or Fall River, MA?
