Hi Bonds! I'm looking for descendants of John BOND, born 21 Second Month (April), 1701, in Wiltshire, England. He was given a certificate from Lavington Monthly Meeting in England to Chester Monthly Meeting near Philadelphia on 25 Tenth Month (December), 1721. In Pennsylvania, he married Sarah CADWALADER between 22 Twelfth Month (February), 1724/25, and 29 First Month (March), 1725. All this is from a Bond genealogy by Garrett S.B. Bond that was published about the turn of the century. I recently found a copy in the New York Public Library. In addition to an older brother, Edward, who apparently did not emigrate, John had a brother Joseph BOND (b. 1704) who "by tradition" emigrated to Pennsylvania about 1735 and joined Abington Monthly Meeting where he married Martha ROGERS. All three Bond boys were sons of Benjamin BOND and Ann PARADISE of Bewley, Wiltshire, England, who married 20 Second Month, 1686. Benjamin was the son of Edward Bond. Garrett Bond's book follows Joseph Bond who later moved to North Carolina. I'm interested in John Bond's line because I'm looking for the antecedents of Harman Bond (1801-1880) who lived in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, PA. Any takers? Mark E. Dixon Wayne, PA
