Loren - in answer to your "Bonds" e-mail, Bond is a fairly common name that seems to have originated as one of the 'occupation' types of name (like Miller) - except that it was enforced. The Bondsman would have been some sort of tied servant or serf so the condition existed all over, not in a single place. Like most names, the spelling varied till the early 1800s; my ancestors include Bonde, Band, Bande and occasionally Bound. Regards Chris
