Debbie, Talk about unusual names......my father's was Vard. Wish I knew if it was a family name. His mother was Mary Frances "Mollie" Bonds b. abt 1856......do not know anything else about her and can't seem to find anything on her. My brick wall!!! Anyway, passed the name onto my #2 son......named him Vard Patrick.......and of course he goes by Pat.......hated the name Vard when he was in school.......said the kids called him "Lardy Vardy".
