Valerie, The only information I have on Lucinda Bond is that she is supposed to be the full sister of my ancestor, Frances Bond, born 25 March 1813, in Franklin County,Georgia. She married Valentine Richard Smith Mayfield (usually known as Smith Mayfield and sometimes as VRS Mayfield). Frances and Smith lived in Campbell County (now part of Fulton County), Georgia. I have from family records the name of your Lucinda Bond and her birthdate as 14 March 1819 in Franklin County, Georgia. Lucinda's first husband was Wiley Henry Jordan and her second husband was John Wesley Carroll. Lucinda and John Wesley Carroll were married in Campbell County, Georgia 10 May 1857. Later in November 1857 they are supposed to have gone by wagon train from Campbell County to Jackson Parish, Louisiana. The wagon master's notes or log of this journey was published in the book "Palmetto: A Town And Its People" sometime in the 1980's and this log was submitted by a Virginia Carroll. Also, The Monroe Morning World, Monroe, Louisiana, Sunday, 18 Aug 1957 page 12C has a report of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of this journey by their descendants. Lucinda Bond is supposed to have died 23 Jun 1870 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana. Lucinda and her first husband, Wiley Henry Jordan had seven children and Lucinda and her second husband had two children. If you have any further information please share it with me. I have what appears to be two different Bond lines (which I believe will eventually prove to be only one family line) and I have not been able to make any real progress on them for ages. If you have any data on a Joseph M. Bond, George Bond, Washington Bond, Robert Bond or Robert P (probably Paxton) Bond please let me know. I hope this has helped you some. Warmest regards, Charlotte Schick
