    3. Glenn, I think we have corresponded before, and now I am wondering if their is a connection of my Bonds to what you had sent to Valerie on the Bond mail list. Allen Woodard Bond was in Madison Co., AL by 1816 & in Shelby Co., TN in about 1822 after his first wife died. He died by May 1837 in Shelby Co., TN. My Banister Bond married Margaret Siveley in 1813 and was in the 1816 Census for Madison Co., AL Territory. He was also on the tax list for either 1809-1810 in Madison Co. AL. Found no divorce papers but there is a newspaper notice saying he would no longer be responsible for Margaret Siveley's debts. Also found two more Bond marriages (Possible Relation) Samuel Bond, Harriet Beel March 2, 1825 and Lucinda Bond married Samuel West July 31, 1822. These were in Madison Co., Alabama. Below is what I have found on my Banister but have hit a dead end, and would like to know if the book might have any mention of my Banister? I would also like to know if Notes on Charles Bond, Sr. And His Descendants From 1733, by Catherine Sams Bond Gheesling, 1975 is available for purchase. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Banister1 Bond was born 1772-1779 in Probably Virginia or Tennessee, and died August 13, 1879 in Madison Co. Iowa. He married (1) Margaret Siveley May 12, 1813 in Madison Co., Alabama. He married (2) Rachel Martin Clary May 10, 1821 in Madison Co., Illinois. Notes for Banister Bond: I have a copy of handwritten notes that Raymond Bond got from the family of Mable Fine. He feels that Mable has written these notes pertaining to the family. They are as follows: Banister Bond Sr. born in VA., February 1779. Fought in the war of 1812 at the battle of Great Bend MS. under General Jackson. VA to TN from there to AL; AL. to IL; from IL. to IA. Married to Rachel Martin Clary in Menard Co., IL about 1820. She was a widow with four children. She then gives the names of the Clary children and their children and birth dates. She also states that Andrew Jackson was named for General Jackson. She also states that Rachel was born Feb. 1794.
