    1. Re: William W. Bond born 1776
    2. Most of my Bond family are from Goochland and Amherst County, VA. I assume you've seen "Notes on Charles Bond, Sr. and his descendants, from 1733." This is on Microfiche 6049018 with the LDS library. I don't have a complete copy, but I suspect that your William W. may belong to Joseph Ballenger Bond or Nathaniel Bond. Many of these people moved to North Carolina and then to Georgia. The author of this book is Catherine Sams Bond Cheesling, from Atlanta, GA. Nathaniel Bond and his son, Nathan were in Amherst County in 1776 where they enlisted with the First Rifle Company. In 1788 Nathan Bond, Sr. was in Wilkes County, Ga. A brother of Nathan Bond, Sr. was William Bond (Billy). This William left no will or estate, and may have been deceased at the time of his father's, Charles', death in 1774. Charles Bond, Sr. named William Bond's sons in his will. If you have this information please let me know. If not, I'll send more of what I have. I am descended from Charles, Sr., through his son, Jesse, brother of William. We have numerous William W.'s in our family. I think the only instance I have found of the second name being spelled out is a William Wallace Bond. Do you happen to know the middle initial of your W? The Walkers seemed to have intermarried with the Bond family a lot, and the middle name may be Walker. I've done a lot of work on these folks in Goochland, Albemarle, and Amherst Counties and will be glad to share. I also need to do a lot more work! Genie Holt, Tucson
