Hi list, When I started researching my ancestors, I found that my line had a "personal input" source code 5015629 on the IGI. Following a check with the LDS at Utah, I obtained the name of the individual person who was a "member". The member put me in contact with 'their family' who had subsequently written a BOND book. The details are as follows:- Author ......... Mrs Ina H.Day, Salt Lake City, Utah US/Canada Microfilm No...... 0928426, Item 2 SLC Library ... .RN:0090820, Catalogue .......Its call No. is 929.273, B64d Title .............. " William BOND and Mary Ann BARKER - Their Ancestors, Descendants, Cousins - 1555 - 1975 " To the best of my knowledge, the book has not so far been reproduced for publication or made available on disk. It is a fair size of 1505 pages, and for that reason it was located in the " Q " area, at the Family History Library, SLC, Utah. I have not seen the book, but understand that my own family do not feature. The tree in the above book includes the following lines; William BOND 1817 x Mary Ann BARKER John BOND 1780 x Ann HOLME or Hulme 1780 James BOND 1757 x ** Ellen HOUGH 1760 John BOND` 1725 x Elisabeth BECCONSALL 1723 Nicholas BOND 1699 x Elizabeth ? The **Ellen HOUGH paternal line traces back to about 1578 and her maternal line THORNTON traces back to 1555 I am most grateful to Donna H.Hellewell (the authoress Mrs Day's younger sister) and her niece LuReen D.Brock for the information. also Anthony Bond (in NY) who checked details for me years ago. I have the address of these helpers, but not any Email info. If they are on the internet, I am sure (being BOND researchers) they will probably have read the above, and will make contact. Regarding my own interest, I am still researching my 3 x gggp Rev.JAMES BOND, b.1780, Kendal,Westmorland, and regret no progress made for years, in fact I am getting rather very bored looking at a brick wall. I hope the above book may help somebody. Regards Peter peter.bond@lineone.net
