Capt. Charles Wallace Bond, showing a Residence in Gloucester, Mass, when he was married in Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 30 Apr 1878. Being a Sea Captain, he travelled between Gloucester, Nova Scotia, and lost one ship enroute to Newfoundland, Canada. In Gloucester, there is one of the oldest roads, BOND STREET, on BOND HILL, which I believe may have been the location of his Residence, that he had during the time he was married. He married Maria Louisa Graves, from the Chester, Nova Scotia area. Charles' father, Benjamin Bond (Also know as John Benjamin, and Benjamin John Bond) is almost an unknown. There is no record in Nova Scotia, of Benjamin's father, that I am aware, and some of my suspicions are, that he originated from the Gloucester-Boston, Mass, area, like his Son. If any of this sounds familiar, or anyone may have more information, I would appreciate some EMAIL. I would like to know more about the origin of Bond Street in Gloucester too. I find it difficult to follow some of the EMAIL I receive from the BOND LISTs, that only name the location of the town, or county, or even State of origin. It forces me to dig out an atlas to see where that is in relation to the New England Coast. If everyone would assume that others who are reading, may be from outside the State, or USA, they could help others by giving more complete locations. Thanks.
