I'm seeking info on a Gracy Bond who married Walter Jacob, probably sometime before 1808, as they had a daughter named Jane in that year. Gracy probably lived in GA, then MS. She is the daughter of John Bond, Sr. who was born in Georgia c.1745-1750. Any info would be appreciated.

It is in MS Word, version 7 format, and is sized for A4 paper, so you will have to fiddle with the page setup for letter sized paper. The only other information I have on John Bond is that he and Mary (Sale) Bond had a daughter, Mary Bond ca 1848. Mary Bond was the widow of James Adkins and died May 4, 1941 in Eagle Hill neighborhood (KY?). Her obit listed Allen Bond of Centralia, Illinois; Jess Bond of Danville, Illinois, and Dow Bond of Eagle Hill neighborhood; as half-brothers and a Mrs. Nora Gilbert, half-sister of Owenton (Owen County), IL. THAT IS ALL THAT I KNOW ABOUT JOHN BOND AND IF ANYONE CAN HELP, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. My grandfather was ALLEN A. BOND, born 8 Jan 1866 in Owen County, KY., married Elsie Alice Winegarner on July 25, 1900. There were four children: 1. Goldia (1904-1972) married James Karl Tefertillar and were later divorced. They had one son, Robert Lee Tefertillar. 2. Harold L. Bond (1907-1987) married Alfreda Puffer. Had one daughter, Darda Kay. 3. Theodore R. Bond (1909-1975) married Dorothy Irene Richards. Dear Dorene, In chasing my William Bond b. 1655, I don't know where, ships captain who settled in Ulster Co., NY, I pursued Robert Bond thinking perhaps my Wm was a son or brother. He's not a son, but could possibly be a bro.. For Robert see Hatfield's History of Elizabeth NJ p. 69. I haven't seen it, but it is referenced in the following: History of Southampton (author?) p.420 Bond, Robert came from Lynn to Southampton, according to Hatfield. He further says of him that he was a man of influence and had 1st wife Hannah, sister of John Ogden and 2d w. Mary, wid. of Hugh Roberts of Newark and d. of Hugh Calkins. Had sons Joseph and Stephen and perhaps others. Died in Newark 1677. From Southampton records we find he was a blacksmith and had a grant of land here in 1643. He was one of the colonists to settle East Hampton in 1648 and in 1659 represents that town at Hartford. From East Hampton he removed to New Jersey, 1664 or 5, as one of the settlers of Elizabeth, as above related, and resided some time in that town.. The Boston Transcript had quite a few Bond queries and answers - most about the Wm.Bond of MA. The most usable index is in AGI (Amer. Gen. Index - but that is the old name for it and I don't know the new one - but librarians should and most big libs. have it.) One of them reads:#4476 Aug 30, 1926 Bond. Benjamin Bond of Elizabethtown, Essex Co., NJ had wife Susana. Children: Rebecca wife of Daniel Sayre, Robert and Benjamin and grandsons Benjamin and John Bond mentioned in his will of 26 May 1759, etc. Another one, a reply to query 1045 on 7 Feb 1910 says: Robert Bond came from Kent Co., Eng. in 1639; was at Long Island 1643, at Lynn, Mass. and East Hampton 1649. He settled in Elizabeth NJ.....d. 1677 ....2 sons Stephen & Joseph. Joseph left Robert 2d and Benjamin. ..Benj d. 1760 age 80 wife Susannah. Ch: Benjamin, Robert, Sarah m. Benajmin BOND had a daughter named Rebecca who married Daniel Sayre, Daniel died 17 April 1760, in Elizabeth, NJ. Rebecca remarried Stephen Hinds on 18 April 1761. Rebecca and Daniel had 5 children David b: 30 May 1736, Benjamin, Jedediah, John and Sarah. I dont know if this is enough information to help me or not, but it is all I have.
