    3. Aloha, Robin, Can you provide some info on where your BOND's were? We also have a WATSON, Florinda m. Zack Ford BOND, 2 June 1867, in Anderson Co., KY, and have decided to research the Watson line. Our BOND descent is through Wm. BOND of Hanover Co., VA, Rev. Sold. Jeanne M. Bond (Mrs. Z.F. 1. A BRAND NEW page, trying to get started....
    2. Glenn Gohr
    3. I'm forwarding this message I received earlier. --Glenn Gohr (List Manager) _________ My page is a FREE service intended to be used to post and view queries about individuals/surnames people are searching for information on. My intention is to make this the most useful new site on the 'net. Please come help me and yourself at the same time! Thanks! Family Tree Climbers: a Genealogy Link-up Page Joshua Sorensen & Shana Hackett <Demon@CLDS.NET karwoski@usa.net http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/6527 Information needed for ANCESTOR QUERIES: 1. On the first line of the BODY of the e-mail put the following: SURNAME, first name, middle name (IF AVAILABLE)/date (IF AVAILABLE)/place (IF AVAILABLE) Note*: Only the SURNAME should be in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. 2. Put one line space and in the BODY of the message please identify the information that you are seeking. Provide what you can to help others recognize your listing. The size of the entry should be no larger than 4-5 lines of 80 character text. Therefore around 70 words in length. Abbreviate whenever possible the State, country, b for born, m for married, d for died, abt for about, bur for buried etc... Also, you should omit unnecessary comments such as, - looking for, in search of, want to find parents and siblings, any info, thank you in advance, any help will be appreciated, send replies to etc... Your listing is meant to attract attention by providing enough information to cause the viewer of the page to contact you. After this contact has been made - you can exchange additional information. Here is an example of the type of post we are looking for (for ancestor queries): MURRAY, (Reverend), J.T. (John Thomas?), Pastor of Methodist Protestant Church on Aisquinth Street, Westminster, MD., about 1871. Looking for names of Parents, Wife, Brothers & Sisters, and Children & Other data. My GGGGrandfather. richardm@freewwweb.com(orig. post 1/98) It tells: who they are looking for and a good description of the information they are looking for. ________________________________- Comments from Glenn: Note: The current URL for this site is: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/6527/ This week a note says they will shortly be moving to this site: http://www.familytreeclimbers.com I've known about this site for awhile, but I've been wanting to wait and see if it is legitimate or not. It seems to be a worthwhile site with postings regarding ancestors, adoption searches, etc. I haven't found any of my surnames listed YET, but then I haven't posted anything yet either. It seems like a good place to post queries and list your e-mail address for someone to contact you. The queries must be short and to the point. (And they will let you delete a message should you ever change your mind.) Sincerely, Glenn Gohr (List Manager) ggohr01@mail.orion.org

    2. Hi Becky and Richard, Here is the way to Shirley's page. http://www.familytreemaker.com/ when the screen comes up there is search on your far right, click on that, when that screen comes up type in Shirley Thibodeaux LeBlanc. You will see John Bond, Sr. report and click on that. You're there. Richard, I don't think Shirley's page will help you with your ancestors. But if you will go on down that same first page til you come to "FIND YOUR FAMILY ON THE INTERNET FAST" click on that, this takes you to a page and located on the right hand side you will see "TRY INTERNET FAMILY FINDER NOW!", click on that and when that screen comes up, type in the name you are looking for. Try just the last name, that works best for me. Good luck, Gaye

    1. William E. or John Bond
    2. Thomas Bond
    3. My Great-Grandfather was Joseph (Joe, or Jo) Andrew Bond. He was born in Henry Co. Missouri in 1863. I am trying to locate, of certainty, his father. One source I have calls him William E. Bond, but I can find no record of anyone with his name in Henry Co.when reading the 1850 and 1860 census. Another source I have, Joseph's death certificate, says his father's name was John. I can find a John W. Bond, son of Joseph Bond, in the 1850 census. I can find Joseph Andrew's mother -- Mary Margaret Clark -- daughter of Andrew Clark. But, I can find no record of a William, or John, married to Mary Margaret. The matter is complicated further. The father of Joseph A. Bond was shot during the civil war. He was on his way home to see his new son (Joesph). I am unable to find his service records, because I am uncertain of his name. Any help you can give would be appreciated.
