    3. The only living John Bond of the Newbury line was 4 years old in 1722. His father, John, died in 1721. So, there was no John Bond of Haverhill to marry Mary Kent.

    3. You should visit the site listed below. It is a pretty thorough list of a big family of Bonds in America in the late 1600's. They settled in the Baltimore area (before there was a Baltimore). There is listed a John Bond who married a Mary ??? but it reports his death as before 1720. Do you know where your John and Mary were married? I suppose there could have been other Bonds in America as well. This Bond family is well documented in a book called The Bonds of Earth. Earth is the name of the place in England where they came from. Here is the site: http://www.genforum.com/bond/messages/155.html Hope this helps, Terry -- =:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:= Terry Biegler Learning Resources Specialist - Graphics Tarrant County Junior College - Northwest Ft. 3. L. Vernon Briggs, Genealogies of the Different Families Bearing the Name of Kent . . . (1898), p. 161 calls the husband of Mary KENT probably John BOND. The Gloucester Vital Records, where the marriage is recorded, calls him Joseph BOND. Is he the same born in Salisbury 01 Apr 1700 son of Nicholas and Sarah (ROWLANDSON) BOND? There is no further record of them in the Vital Records of any town in Essex County, Massachusetts. They probably removed. Mary's brother Josiah apparently went to Harvard MA and sister Abigail (Kent) Stevens went to Hampstead NH. 1. Bond, Benjamin; Born June 28, 1743 or August 28, 1745; Leicester, MA
    2. Walter Harwood
    3. Good morning to the BOND list members, I have a couple of BENJAMIN BOND problems. ELIZABETH HARWOOD married BENJAMIN BOND, October 31, 1765. I have two sources for the parents of BENJAMIN. One says they are BENJAMIN and MARY (GRATON) BOND, and that BENJAMIN was born August 28, 1745. The other says the parents were EDWARD and EXPERIENCE (STONE) BOND, and that BENJAMIN was born June 28, 1743. If anyone on the list knows which BENJAMIN married ELIZABETH, and is willing to share the information, it would be appreciated. The other BENJAMIN I have married ABIGAIL MIXER, May 4, 1738. ABIGAIL was the daughter of JOSEPH and ANNA (JONES) MIXER. ABIGAIL was born June 26, 1721. Again, any information would be appreciated Rick in Thailand

My Bonds married PURLS (pearls) who came from Maryland. Here is all I know. Thomas Jefferson Bond born 25 Dec 1805 in OHIO married Julia Delilah Purl: children are named. Eliz., Hezekiah, Martha, Manerva, Presley, Wesley Irwin, James Oliver, Corbin A.,Delila Jane, Sarah C., William Jefferson, Wilburn, Asmina,Thomas, Ellen Victory. I found them in Morgan Co MO . A county history says they came from OH . Thomas J. has a brother James who married Julias sister Philena. Neighbors they are associated with in Mo are Finleys, Silveys, McFarlands, Estes, Donnell. This is all I know. I dont have any idea where to start looking in OH. Any suggestions? Diane Williams

My bonds are in Morgan Co MO and the census shows they came from OH. Thomas Jefferson Bond b. 25 Dec 1805 in OHIO married Julia Delilah Pearl (PURL) their children are named Eliz.,Hezekiah,Martha,Manerva, Presley,Wesley Irwin,James Oliver,Corbin A.,Delilah Jane, Sarah c., William Jefferson, Wilburn. Thomas J. has a brother James who married Julia Delilah's sister Philena. The surnames they are associated with in MO are Finley, McFarland,Estes,Adams, and Silvey. I can tell the southern Bonds are seperate lines from the Northern Bonds in OH but have no idea what county to begin looking in. Do you recornize any of the names or neighbors ? Diane Williams

    1. Mandeville J. Bond
    2. Nancy D. (Bouy) Peeples
    3. Hi, I am new to this group and am not sure of how you prefer postings so have patience if it is wrong. I will learn. I am looking for information on Mandeville J. Bond born September 22, 1841 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky and d. December 9, 1912 in Charleston, SC. He was married to Melita Lucas I believe in Kentucky and family lore says he moved to SC after she died. We do not know where or when that was. They had three daughters that we know of Amanda, Helen and Ella Lucas Bond. There was perhaps a son or nephew named James Lee who was born in 1863 in Kentcuky and d. Nov. 20, 1885 in Charleston, SC. Ella was born July 17, 1866 in either Leesburg or Mayesville, Kentucky and died in April of 1946 in Charleston, SC. Mandeville shows up in the Chas. city directory in 1882. He traded and cared for horses. His father was James Bond and his mother was a Samuels. He served in the War Between the States and was paroled at the end. Does anyone know anymore on this line? Any thoughts, help or suggestion are greatly appreciated. Thnaks, Nancy Peeples peeblesb@conterra.com
