This makes a big difference...dates, etc. I have a friend who grew up in Canada, Joby BOND (no relationship to my family/so far anyway), who has done quite a bit of research on his Canadian BOND family. Would you like to connect him? His e-mail is Bond13@GTE.net . Alan: I am sorry that you had a problem with the www address for ancestry.com. It is one of the world's largest on line genealogy services...some of it is free, like the family tree GEDCOM that is available, and some of the research sources are not. This has been an invaluable source for researching for me. Did you try to contact raymond.wing@snet.net, the e-mail address for the person who submitted the info I mentioned that matched your search (which is approx. 65,000 Bytes total of info)? Usually the people are friendly and most helpful when I have contacted them directly in the past with questions. If you have no luck, I will try to send you an attachment of some of the pages directly. Let me know. Hi. Just returned from Hampstead, N.H. and found the following: John Bond, b. Jan 14, 1718 in Haverhill Mass., son of John and ____ (Hall) Bond of Haverhill (Mass.) His father drowned May 21, 1721 in the Merrimack river. He was a doctor in Hampstead for many years. He married Judith Dow (Haverhill, Mass.) and had six children. (Memorial History of Hampstead, N.H., Voll II (Church). I also found one of his sons, John, Jr., (married Mary Moulton), was a doctor in Hampstead, N.H. for many years. I was unable to locate the graves of John, John Jr., or there wives, due to time constraints, and lack of (obvious) records. Hope this helps. -Alan Bond BOND-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > Subject: > > BOND-D Digest Volume 98 : Issue 90 > > Subject: RE: BOND/KENT; MA; late 1600s > Date: Wed, 5 Aug 1998 16:10:09 -0400 > From: "Charles Bond" <bond@labor.lab.state.vt.us> > To: BOND-L@rootsweb.com > > The only living John Bond of the Newbury line was 4 years old in 1722. Looking for descendants of Elijah Bond who moved family from Summit Co., OH in 1847 to Lisbon, Noble County, Indiana in 1847. Wife Catherine, daughters Harriet Graham, Marinda Ihrie and Charlotte Ryland. Elijah's line goes back through NY to NH. Any inquiries answered. Bobby Dobbins Title in Orange Co., CA Snibbod1@aol.com
Greetings! I'm looking for descendants of Joseph BOND, a son of Samuel BOND and Thomazine DOWNING (m. 1749) of Chester County, PA, and a grandson of Joseph Bond (d. 1749) of Bucks County, PA. I don't know who Joseph married, but I am working a hunch that he (they) may be the ancestors of Harmon BOND (1801-1880) and his son, Harmon G. BOND (1845-1920), both of Chester County. Reason: Samuel BOND owned land in the same township as both Harmon Bonds. (As I said, it's a hunch.) Mark E. Dixon Wayne, PA

All right, Lets try this again. Hi There All, I have watched the letters come in these last couple of weeks. It's exciting to see so many people from the different areas of the country working together to search out their lines. I have notice lately, there are many from the south and many from the north east. I commend you all. My question is, is there any one out there who can give me information on the Bond line in Lancashire, England area around 1820 and before? Particularly a John Bond married to a Ruth Calvert. Married 3rd May 1830. Their son, James was born in Blackburn on 25th, August 1830. Certainly there are others out there who have additional information previous to John. I invite all to come forward. Thanks, Delos Bond
