They had several children, including twins, Susan and William, and my great grandmother, Lillian, before moving to Missouri. I have a lot of information on the Trimbles, but none on the Bonds. Do you have any information on Catherine W. Bond...who her parents were, any brothers & sisters, etc. My records show Catherine was born about 1819 in Tennessee. Not a whole lot to go on. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bev

    2. I've been really intrigued by these latest postings. How many W. W. Bond folks are there? I have quite a few in my family. Sometimes I know the middle name and other times not. I have a Whitfield W., a William W., and I've come across some of these other W. W.'s. I wonder what the story behind all the W. W.'s is? Any thoughts? Genie Holt

    3. Hello Susan, What kind of errors did you find in the book? I have a copy and would like to know. I am sure you have a lot more information on the Bond family than I have. I don't want to give out any incorrect information. A lot of my Bond family was not in the book but I assumed it was because no one gave L. D. Bond the information. Maybe he didn't ask the right person. I am descended from Isaac Shafter Bond and his father was William Bond. Which family is your direct line. I am always glad to make contact with Bond cousins. Thank you. 1. Re: Bond Book
    2. Thanks for the information on the Bond Family Book by L. D. Bond. I called him today and he has 20 books left. I ordered one. My sister-in-law sent me the following notice from The Carroll County, Virginia Genealogy Club: Bond Family by L. D. Bond has just been completed. The book contains 306 pages and over 100 photographs of 2415 descendants of Edward Bond, (born circa 1650), along with the spouses, parents and children; it covers the years from 1650 to the present day. The ancestors of many of the Bond descendants who now reside in Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Missouri are included. The book is 8 1/2 by 11 with hard cover and includes a table of contents and index. In addition to individuals' names, date and place of the birth, marriage, death and burial, it contains biographical information of many families with stories which have been handed down, extracts from old journals, letters and sketches submitted by family members. The book may be seen at the Carroll County Genealogy Club or at the Carroll County Museum. For more information on purchasing the book contact the author L. D. Bond, 143 South Oakwood, Wichita, Kansas 67218 or call 316-651-0204. Some people who have the book ready are disappointed and have found some mistakes. I can't judge because I don't have mine yet but will let you know. I can't let any information out there on the Bond Family pass me by. I am always looking for the connection to William W. Bond and Margaret Davis. Don't think this book is my connection but can't resist. Maybe the above notice will help a lot of you make up your mind. The book is $30.00. Mary Lou in Cincinnati

    2. Thanks, Susan, I called L.D. Bond on the phone before I received your email and ordered the book. Any port in a storm. I asked him over the phone about William Wellington Bond and I know for sure he isn't in there but I keep hoping one of these days to make a connect to one of these Bonds from England so I guess Edward is as good a place as any to start!! Don't you love my reasoning???? Have a great day!!! Mary Lou FColby@aol.com
