This is taken from the site: http://www.enol.com/~infobase/gen/parish/midsex_b.txt This is from the "B" section of the marriages. There is also a zip file that lists the whole alphabet in one which might help locate any brides named Bond. This "B" section is part of a larger database: http://www.enol.com/~infobase/gen/parish/ which contains Middlesex England Parish Records (marriages from 1563-1895). I'm looking for descendants of Ruby BOND born 1808 in TN. Parents were Jesse Walton and Susannah CRANE BOND. She married Jesse LOONEY in AL. They came to IL and in 1843 went to OR where she died. I do have some information about both of them but still have many gaps. Hope someone can help. Julia jah2515@netins.net
My Nathan was born 8 Aug 1816 in TN. Parents were Jesse Walton and Susannah CRANE BOND. They also lived in AL before coming to IL about 1830. He married Elizabeth TRAILER in Warren County, IL and later moved to IA. In 1853 they moved to Oregon where he died in 1889. I do have some information about he and his family in OR. I am most interested in connecting with his descendants. Julia jah2515@netins.net

Hi Group, Thanks for the information on the Bond Cemetery. Does anyone know if it is indexed? If so where could I get that information. Mandeville's wife, mother and father are all supposed to have died in Kentucky. Only lead I've had in a while. Bouy
What a coincidence - I don't have Mandeville Bond - BUT I located a Bond cemetery near Stamping Ground KY following this link last night - see below. In the search criteria at the beginning page I typed in "Bond", for location I put "Kentucky", and type of landmark, I selected "cemetery" and - voila! - 2 Bond Cemeteries - one at Stamping Ground. The maps are on the Tiger Server - and are zoomable - I did not see identification on the roads, but cities and rivers are labelled. Thanks to this posting at Rowan Co., NC: Everyone should have this site bookmarked, or put in their "favorite places." Hi, Thought I would try again to see if anyone has any connection to Mandeville J. Bond b. Sept. 22, 1841 in Stamping Ground Kentucky and d. Dec. 9, 1912 in Charleston, SC. He married Melita Lucas whose parents were John and Nancy Lucas. The obituary was sent to Lexington and Georgetown KY as well as the Chas. paper. His death certificate was filled in by one of his daughters who gave his fathers name as James Bond who married a Samuels. Anyone see any connections. I keep running into dead ends on this family. Thanks, Bouy Peeples
I dont know if Ward Bond was a relative or not, but my mother used to say he looked alot like my dads family. My grandfathers name was Stephen and my fathers name is Joseph Bond. Grandpa was from Pleasant Hill and Ludlow Falls area of Ohio. Any connections out there. Sandra Bond Long
I am looking for any connections to a Pansy Mae BOND. Married Isaac C. SHELTON. Pansy was born in 1911 and died 1994. She lived her life in Knox County, KY. I hope someone knows of her. Thanks In Advance for any info you have. Jenny
Good morning everyone! You might recall I told you I wasn't directly descended from any Bond family. But after I became interested in genealogy and began my family search and learned of the inspiring Bond link I couldn't seem to satisfy my thirst for more information on this family. When I was a small child I can remember hearing my Grandmother speak of her Bonds. These Bonds all lived in CA and I don't recall ever meeting any of them but in the 1960's my Mother did visit with them. I will begin with my Grandmother's Aunt who married John Luther Bond 14 Dec 1853 in Knightstown, Henry, IN. He married 14 Sept 1875 Dublin, Wayne, IN Sarah Suphronia "Phronia" Alger 10 Feb 1860 Trenton, Grundy, MO You might wonder how a young man from a small town in IN meet and marry a young girl from a small town in MO? It is a very interesting story. Phronia's parents, maternal grandparents and maternal gr-grandparents were following Joseph Smith(of Mormon fame). Her father was born in OH while the family and all the other Mormons were encamped at Kirtland, OH. While the group was in MO her father was serving with the Union Army during the Civil War. There were five children born previous to Phronia. When Phronia was two years old, her father was killed in battle at Chillicothe, Livingston, Mo. Three months after his death, another child was born. By this time Phronia's grandparents were in SLC, having followed Brigham Young and their now widowed daughter-in-law desired to follow them. I don't know why she made the decision not to take her two year old with her and her other children but that is what happened. Her husband's sister, Frances "Fanny" (Alger) Custer, along with her 8 yr old son, Lafayette F. Custer took the train to St Louis (family history states the train was pulled by cable across the Mississippi River. How they arrived at Trenton, I don't know) and brought the little two year old to live with her family. She was raised as a daughter/sister when actually she was niece/cousin. One of her new brothers, Benjamin Franklin Custer, is father of my grandmother, therefore my grandmother considered Phronia as her Aunt. Therefore Phronia and John Luther Bond's children are considered cousins. Phronia and Luther Bond had two sons Clyde 1877 and Wilson Claude 1879. About 1900 they ventured to CA. They might have spent time in St Louis where one or both might have met and married their spouses. In CA Clyde was a motorman for city railway and Claude spent 48 yrs as an engineer for the Santa Fe Railway. Clyde's only child, Lawrence, was born 1904 and Clyde's wife died in childbirth soon after. Lawrence died in 1936, no children. Clyde remarried 1920 but his wife died in 1922 no children Claude was the father of two daughters End of this Bond direct line. When Clyde's first wife died his parents traveled to CA to help take care of his son, On their way to CA they stopped in AZ to visit with Phronia's mother, whom she hadn't seen in 42 yrs! Her mother had remarried and had two more children. Her mother passed away soon after this visit. In letters that were written by Phronia to my grandmother, she mentions her younger sister, who was born in 1862 and her half-sister and half-brother and how they have all become very good friends in CA. These letters were very interesting and contained much family history. Thank you for reading about my Bond connection. Jo Kester kester@saber.udayton.edu
Hello to all of the BOND Family members out there: The following is a copy of an E-mail I sent LD BOND last night. I thought I'd post it to the BOND-L site in hopes one or more of you out there might see a connection to these folks. Harleigh > I have very little on my connection to the BONDS, but I would sure like to find out more about this family. This is what I have: My GG Grandfather, James Thomas JOHNSON m. 05/091844 Elizabeth BOND in Lincoln Co., MO, by Charles Wheeler, JP; wits; Samuel HOWELL, Joseph C. HUNTER and others. Elizabeth died in 1851-53 in Salem, Marion Co., OR (possibly Linn Co.) shortly after they traveled across the plains with their three children from MO to OR. Prior to her death Elizabeth asked James to marry her 1st cousin, my GG Grandmother, Sally Ann "Sarah" EAST. So following Elizabeth's death James returned to MO with his three children, the oldest being six, via the Isthmus of Panama. He married Sally Ann "Sarah" EAST on 11/17/1853 in Lincoln Co., MO, by James Bain, JP. James and Sally traveled again by oxen driven wagon probably first to OR, where Elizabeth had died and then to CA (or possibly directly to CA) in 1863 with seven children (four of their own and James and Elizabeth's three). Their journey to OR probably began in IL rather than MO, since their last son, Garrett JOHNSON, before leaving was born in IL (probably Adams Co., IL). Elizabeth BOND'S parents were Zilla (Zella) WELTY and ?? BOND. Sally Ann "Sarah" EAST'S parents were Frances "Franny" WELTY, b. ab. 1804 in Warren Co, KY m. ca. 1822 probably in Simpson Co., KY to Heinrick Thomas "TOM" EAST, b. 11/17/1803 in Bethania, Stokes Co, NC. They are my GGG Grandparents. Zilla (Zella) WELTY and Frances "Fanny" WETLY's parents were Abraham WELTY m. 06/03/1802 Mary Frances ROLAND in Warren Co., KY, her cons by parents, Joseph and Catherine ROLAND. The children of James Thomas JOHNSON and Elizabeth BOND are (5) that I am aware of): Mary Frances Johnson (twin - died in 1st year) Elizabeth Johnson (twin - died in 1st year) Martha Ann "Aunt Patsy" Johnson, b. 1846 in Lincoln Co, MO Richard Moses "Dick" Johnson, b. 1847 in Lincoln Co, MO James Bond "Jimmy" Johnson, b. 1850 in Lincoln Co, MO A Moses BOND m. 02/17/1850 Sophia PRICE in Lincoln Co., MO. Moses may be Elizabeth's brother or possibly her father, if this was his second marriage (just a guess). There is an obvious connection between Elizabeth and Moses, as the middle names of Richard Moses "Dick" JOHNSON and James Bond JOHNSON would indicate. I do have a considerable amount of info. on the rest of the families, but that's it for the BOND side. Hopefully your BOND FAMILY book will provide a connection to the above > described BONDS. In any case I would like to place an order for your book.
Does anybody have any Bond members in Canada? Specificaly Manitoba or western Canada? Thanks J. Bond
Hi list, When I started researching my ancestors, I found that my line had a "personal input" source code 5015629 on the IGI. Following a check with the LDS at Utah, I obtained the name of the individual person who was a "member". The member put me in contact with 'their family' who had subsequently written a BOND book. The details are as follows:- Author ......... Mrs Ina H.Day, Salt Lake City, Utah US/Canada Microfilm No...... 0928426, Item 2 SLC Library ... .RN:0090820, Catalogue .......Its call No. is 929.273, B64d Title .............. " William BOND and Mary Ann BARKER - Their Ancestors, Descendants, Cousins - 1555 - 1975 " To the best of my knowledge, the book has not so far been reproduced for publication or made available on disk. It is a fair size of 1505 pages, and for that reason it was located in the " Q " area, at the Family History Library, SLC, Utah. I have not seen the book, but understand that my own family do not feature. The tree in the above book includes the following lines; William BOND 1817 x Mary Ann BARKER John BOND 1780 x Ann HOLME or Hulme 1780 James BOND 1757 x ** Ellen HOUGH 1760 John BOND` 1725 x Elisabeth BECCONSALL 1723 Nicholas BOND 1699 x Elizabeth ? The **Ellen HOUGH paternal line traces back to about 1578 and her maternal line THORNTON traces back to 1555 I am most grateful to Donna H.Hellewell (the authoress Mrs Day's younger sister) and her niece LuReen D.Brock for the information. also Anthony Bond (in NY) who checked details for me years ago. I have the address of these helpers, but not any Email info. If they are on the internet, I am sure (being BOND researchers) they will probably have read the above, and will make contact. Regarding my own interest, I am still researching my 3 x gggp Rev.JAMES BOND, b.1780, Kendal,Westmorland, and regret no progress made for years, in fact I am getting rather very bored looking at a brick wall. I hope the above book may help somebody. Regards Peter peter.bond@lineone.net
Is anyone familiar with Thomas Jefferson BOND and Delilah PURL? His brother James BOND married Delilah's sister Philena or Philomena PURL. They supposedly came to St Francois MO from OHIO before coming to Morgan Co MO around 1840. Diane
The WW Bonds I have ( fa and son) are in Williamson Co Tn in the early 1800's. Catherine
Thanks for trying, Catherine. My William W. Bond married Margaret Davis in Amherst County, Virginia. I have a feeling he was born somewhere in Virginia in 1776. Appreciate your interest. Mary Lou
